It has a good weight, buttons feel good, joysticks are an awesome addition on its Gameboy like frame. Sounds great but the audio does peak during more demanding cut scenes. Feels a little small in the hands. It runs right out the box, games added and pre installed run smoothly. There's a lot to choose from, and some childhood favorites are already here like Spyro and Crash. The handheld feels solid, but I still wouldn't want to find out how tough or fragile it is. Even my mom and my daughter play some games on it. It's a little treasure. The thing I personally dislike is getting no warning before the battery dies. Save often to avoid getting pissed about lost progress. You can only see the battery during gameplay by bringing up the retroarch menu. It's also the default button to hold to use shortcuts for fast forward, slow mo, save and load states, and screen shots. It's referred to as button 8 but nothing else I've seen makes it clear that the M button is button 8 other than process of elimination.

Agree with some of the lower rated reviews. The loading screen is stuck at BatleXP. I looked at many different sites, bought my own 64 GB SD card, imaged the card they sent, and reloaded. Nothing. Same result. Also on my new card downloaded a diffferent image file to flash and try my own SD card. Wouldnt even turn on. Re-imaged with my backup of the original card and didnt turn on. Put the original SD back in and it booted but stuck at loading screen. In all probably 5 hours of troubleshooting for nothing. Do not buy.

This is the BatleXP G350, which is widely rumored to be a budget line produced by Anbernic, which is famous for its retro consoles. This is a fantastic little device that is perfect for first timers to pocket retro gamine. It is very small and pocketable. The screen looks great but is only 3.5 inches. That is perfectly usable, but a little on the small size. The controls are excellent. They are laid out in retro style with a D-pad and button-centric layout. However, it does have dual analog sticks in a good location if you try some later generation gaming (though the processor might be a bit weak for that). The buttons feel good and it is well-constructed overall. There are some more powerful and featured options at higher prices, but for the value, this gets the job done in style. If you've been curious about these types of devices, but didn't want to spend a lot of money to check them out, this device is a perfect first step.

This retro handheld console has been a fun little device to use. The 3.5 inch IPS screen looks bright and sharp, and the compact size makes it easy to carry around for quick gaming sessions. Out of the box it works well, but I ended up installing MustardOS, which adds extra features and a cleaner overall experience in my opinion. Even without that custom firmware, it’s still a great device that is more than capable of emulating consoles up to 16 bit systems smoothly. Performance has been stable for classic titles, and navigation is straightforward. The included 64GB card comes loaded with a large library of games, and HDMI output is a nice bonus if you want to connect it to a TV. WiFi and Bluetooth support also add flexibility depending on how you want to use it. Build quality feels decent for a handheld in this category, and the controls are comfortable for casual play. This may not be ideal for anyone expecting strong performance with newer 3D systems or modern gaming standards, but for classic retro gaming in a portable form factor, it has been enjoyable and capable.

This is an impressive handheld console for the price point. We received the Anbernick RG 40XXV. This is a Gameboy style Linux gaming console that can play all sorts of retro games. We've had a few handled retro gaming consoles over the years. This is an extremely impressive console for the price point of less than $70. The screen is very crisp and bright. The battery life is very impressive. I am enjoying the nostalgia of some vintage games. I am pleased to reccomend this console!

What do you get when you combine a great retro handheld and slap on a well known brand? You get the BatleXP Classic Up! I’ve read so much about their G350 online that when I saw this device named “The Classic Up,” I said, “Hey, I’m at the age where I can be called a classic…why not match myself up with this device?” Nope. This device out ranks me. With the horsepower to handle PSP, Dreamcast and N64 like a true classic. Delivering games that your childhood would’ve drooled over if you owned it back then. Imagine this, if your parents knew it came packed with all these games and it was the only thing they had to buy you for Christmas, your spoiled self would be set for life. No new games needed for a long, long time. It’s smaller than an original Gameboy with a sleek, pocketable design, and buttons so smooth like buttah (meaning smooth texture for those Gen Alphas who don’t know). It keeps a modern look while keeping things "classic". The joysticks are there too though most retro games don’t need them, except for your Dreamcast, N64 and PSX, but otherwise, you’re covered. This could be the device that carries you through long rides, lonely nights, toilet breaks, lunches, or park runs when you really should be exercising lol. Battery life lasted longer than I expected. It's very easy to pick up and game. I really didn't notice any issues with any of the games I played. One feature I cherish (and that more handhelds should include) is the HDMI output. Some devices still skip it, but not this one. It’s honestly one of the best features it has besides the screen. Oh yeah!And the screen? This screen is gorgeous. The games make me feel like I’m pulled right in. This device is for the old school gamer dads, the new generation, and all of us gamers out there.
