Buy this with the right expectations: 1. It's a cheap unlicensed chinese knockoff. Which means bad quality physical design, bad UI, bad design, etc. 2. The fun part - you get to play a few favourite games from the 80s/90s on a big screen with multiplayer. The only games that I feel are really playable - Mario, Contra, Tank, tennis. All others are junk. 3. Its a cheap toy. Enjoy it for what it is.

This thing is super cool! I'd like to say I got it for my kids but lets be honest, I got it for myself. As a 90s kid this thing really scratches the nostalgia itch. It has a lot of the big name classic games such as Mario, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Dig Dug, Pac Man, etc. The screen is bright and clear and the speakers are plenty loud. I definitely recommend this game console, you wont be disappointed.

I reviewed a very similar game system not too long ago, one emblazoned with Sup in an imitation of the Supreme branding. This is about the same thing, but a different ROM collection. However, I'm keen on this handheld. People are saying it has terrible build quality. Correct. The list of games features a lot of oddly named repeats and it's hard to find what you're looking for. The sound is tinny, and the screen has an odd contrast that makes it hard to look at and throws the color off. However, unlike the "Sup" model I saw earlier, this is being offered at the right price. For around the price of a couple gallons of gas, this thing really delivers. Need a game console you can throw in your bag and not worry about? This is it. Want something small and lightweight to have in your nightstand when you're in bed but don't feel like sleeping yet? Here you go. Have a youngin' that likes gaming but you don't want to spend hundreds on a modern handheld, at least not yet? They'll have some fun with this thing. While it isn't great, it is a lot of fun for the money. I like it's goofy rendition of Angry Birds. I wish the copy of Ninja Gaiden III didn't try so hard to evade copyrights. Mario 3 runs a little chuggy, but it's there. And there are so many games I haven't heard of! If you don't find anything wrong with cheap fun, go for it. If you have discerning tastes and a big budget, you're going to be happier with something else.

This is a handheld gaming device. Contained are 500 games and as far as I can see, these games are identical to the arcade games. There are so many games that I haven't had time to explore them all. I liked Golf, tennis and double dragon. Other childhood favorites are there, Pacman, Defender, galaxian and many more that I remember. The console can be plugged into the TV with a very long cord. All works well. Seems like a perfect gift for a kid. Unfortunately quality is poor. Already one of the buttons isn't working properly which makes some games difficult if not impossible to play. I don't think it will last too long in the hands of a little child. I'll take off two stars for that.

The media could not be loaded. I was not going to give this many stars but reconsidered after some use. I work in cyber security and am a big fan of gaming systems isolated from computers. This is fun. It supports two players. The battery is recharable - lasting a couple hours. And there are 500 games. Very quickly this feels messy. The games are in pseudo alphabetical so you have to scan the entire list to see if your game exists. There are multiple games with the same name. You will find yourself asking questions like which ‘star’ should I pick. And most games are obscure; there are few classics. The last complaint is the only unretro thing about the experience. Otherwise this is great for kids. I like the frustering parts in a way including the limited battery life, because it forces kids to explore more creative pursuits. Overall this is helpful for kids and adults and a safe way to game.

Ok, this little machine from China is $16. And if you enjoy totally retro gaming it is worth twice the price. It comes in a buncha pastel colors. It is light as a feather. It comes with an AV cord and second controller so you can play the games with a friend. I looks like a gameboy...and plays like one too. Are many (MANY) of the games knock-offs, chinese-cheapies, and duplicates? Yes. Is the text on multiple games still in Chinese even after you select "english" at the first prompt? Yes. Is there no real documentation? Sadly, there is none. Is there a game list to make it east to pick the ones that aren't horrible? No, sadly there is not. But there are 500 games and 50 of them are close enough to the originals that if you LIKE 8-bit gaming...you will love this little machine. There is Super Mario Brothers, Super Mario Brothers 3, Dr Mario, Tetris, Donkey Kong, Arkanoid, Dig Dug, Galaga, Galaxian, Pac Man, Joust, Millipede...and several of those licensed games that were pretty awful--but fun enough for a moment like Goonies, Tiny Toons, Care Bears and others...plus 16+ "Mario" games that are hysterically bad. And you can plug it into your TV or monitor and play on the big screen...it's loads of fun if this is your thing. It will take you months just to explore all the old favorites, cheap knock offs, and out right weirdness.

This is a fun little handheld controller with a lot of the old video games I remember from when I was a kid. That part I love. But just like some of the other reviews said, the build quality has some flaws. The games are hard to scroll through or search. It comes with a controller that didn't work for my model (although I can still use it in handheld mode). The buttons are a bit mushy. But if you're just looking for a lot of fun old games and have your expectations appropriately set, it is a lot of fun.
