So, where to begin? This was definitely an interesting install and it almost became overwhelming. If this is your first retractable Tonneau cover, as soon as you open the box and read the instructions all the way through, then watch the INSTALLATION VIDEO in the description. The set of instructions I received was apparently the old set and a new one was being processed, but where the print falls short, the video helps clarify it. The biggest thing I struggled with was which bed-mounted support went where. I immediately contacted customer service and they responded with a few hours. And through some back and forth messages, which were responded quickly each time, I was able to figure continue. There are two styles and the printed directions are very difficult to understand which went in the front and and which in the rear. As far as left and right, that is easily discernible as they labeled them “L” and “R” respectively. Maybe label them “LF” for ‘Left Front’ and so on? Either way, once you get passed that, it was pretty simple other than closing the tailgate. The first install wouldn’t allow my tailgate to auto close, meaning it’s an assisted up/down tailgate. It would hit the bed cover and go back down. Again, I contacted customer support, responding with a few hours, and recommended I try adjusting the rear mounting brackets upwards a little, which honestly makes sense, doh!, and it worked perfectly! All in all, I’m really impressed with the cover, it slides well, covers well and looks great! Another change I would make is to make the locking mechanism auto catch in the closed position. At present, you have to turn a knob in order for the latches to catch for the cover to stay in the closed position. I would still recommend this cover! Can’t beat the price or the quality of the material and they have FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! Which I feel is a declining trade now a days. Just buy it, read/watch the instructions and you too can have a great Tonneau Cover!

The media could not be loaded. I've had this cover for a few weeks now and love it. I put the cover on my 2023 Ford Lightning. Many have said the directions are useless, but I thought they were fair. If the directions included more images they would probably be easier to follow. The directions say to put the unit together on the floor and with help move it to the truck. Instead of this, I put an empty box in the bed of the truck that was tall enough to allow me to place the unit on the empty box and build it in the bed of the truck. If you do this just make sure it's tall enough to allow you to screw the six screws in the side (3 on each side). Once it was together it was pretty easy for me to just lift the motor box up enough to pull the empty box out. Putting the rest together was pretty easy from there. I ran the power to the battery before running any lines to make sure it worked. Once that was out of the way I ran the line from the bed to the battery. When I tried it again, the cover would close, but only open a few feet. I reached out to support and Tony got back to me within a few hours. Apparently, if the cover loses power this issue can happen. After driving around a bit the cover started working again. My bed is coated so instead of putting holes in the original bed plugs, I purchased these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D8HWHKM9?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1. When the cover is fully open there are two slats still showing. My first thought was it was stopping short, but this is normal. This unit comes with four ways to open and close the cover. 1 - a remote - two come with the unit 2 - a button that you run the line from the bed to the cab 3 - a phone app 4 - your car remote, but you need to install a line you spice into your vehicle first I ended up using the remote that came with the unit, and the phone app. I tested the unit with the button (#2), but I felt the other two were enough. I didn't feel like running lines into the cab, and how many ways does one need to open and close the cover. Other than liking more images in the directions, I would suggest these to the manufacturer * The button that came with the unit could be waterproof. That way it could be set up in the bed of the truck and used when the tailgate is down. * The power line has some loom tubing on it to help protect it from the elements, but I bought some more to make sure the line was protected all the way to the bed. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TDGMDW4?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1.
