I get good results with Resolve Pet Stain & Odor Spray Cleaner when spot cleaning occasional cat stains, so thought I would try this kit to clean the 11' x 11' off-white shag rug in my family room. I had a small but very noticeable area of accumulated soiling right in front of my favorite chair and the entire rug needed cleaning and freshening after 3 years of use. This product did a really good job, but it took 7 - 22oz cans of foaming cleaner. I cleaned the heavily spoiled spot 3 times before I was really happy with the results, letting the area dry and then vacuuming after each cleaning. The brush tool worked well for me. I used a metal pet comb to clean the brush head after each can of foam cleaner. Cheaper than buying a new rug. Just wish the foam cleaner was available in packs of 3, 4 or 6 cans at a lower price.
