These are pretty easy to use and store away when not using them. The clips work well for switching/adding bands as needed. Easy to identify by color or the labels. If you have every been in physical therapy or rehab for an injury then you have likely used bands. They are great for the way they increase the demand as the range of motion increases. You have also seen the infomercials that hype machines that use bending rods or tensioned gears to add resistance. They are only pitched because shipping actual weights is cost prohibitive. So go into this knowing, bands have limitations and nobody is going to look like the person on the box or in the commercial by just using bands. That said, this is actually the first set that I have seen, for what they are, are very good. The bands are thick, the ankle wraps and handles are well sewn with good materials and the bands are actually labeled and can be ganged together to add resistance. They even come with a small but well thought out little booklet, a travel bag, and the door anchor included in the set. I'm not sure how to determine if 50lbs is really 50lbs because obviously the band does not weigh that much and how far you can stretch it depends on how you are using it. I will say that using the 50 and the 40 at the same time was a "good weight" to curl but certainly did not feel like a full barbell loaded to 95lbs. I will also say, that if you are focused on slow controlled repetitions then these are very helpful as the peak load is at the last bit of the movement. If you need a travel set, are just getting started and don't want to commit the space and money to a machine, are doing active recovery from other exercises, or are rehabbing then you would be hard pressed to find a better set than this. You may be surprised as to just how much benefit you can get with committed use of bands. ... show more
