’ve been very happy with this **Reptile Enclosure for Crested Gecko 12x12x18. Safety was one of my biggest concerns when setting up a habitat, and this enclosure does a great job. The doors close securely and the latch system feels solid, so I don’t have to worry about my gecko pushing its way out. So far a couple weeks in I have no complaints on the manufacturing of the tank, the build was a little tricky at first but came together nicely in the end and I didn’t spend too much time on it. Maybe an hour or so - 2? With breaks and redoing steps lol. The door hinge magnet clasps work fine but the little hinges are shaky you have to tighten them often idk if it’s because it’s made out of acrylic but for my tarantula needs it’s fine cause the magnets are strong. I introduced isopods to balance the natural wood and soil but some climbed the back drop and escaped through the decently sized air ventilation slits 😅 so i will probably get more but tape mesh on the outside.

I would say it’s an overall good enclosure. The only problem is that the acrylic plastic screws are awful. They would unscrewed itself when testing the opening. So luckily I had some screws that fit the acrylic size of the nut and the hole of the magnet pieces when screwing them in.

Instructions are about as clear as the pictures on build a kit furniture, so you know those, you can do this. Takes some wiggling to line up and do things properly, take your time. With that said...it LOOKS cute, but is terrible. 1. The pieces don't like up tightly, meaning when you mist your enclosure, ensure a towel undet as it all dribbles out. 2. The 'locks' are held with screws and nuts, that will keep loosening up making it so you better remember to tighten them weekly. 3. The clear acrylic gets an oily white film on it daily, most likely off gassing of the product, making this seem VERY unsafe for sensitive reptiles.

The front is secured across the top and bottom with screws, but the sides are held in place with four plastic snap locks that, in my opinion, do not lock securely enough. If your reptile is good at escaping, it will find a way out. I bought it for a baby gecko, so it should hold for a while. I don't think the gecko can squeeze out of the slits, but this tank will be in another tank in case it can. It does seem sturdy everywhere, but the front sides will prevent me from putting anything stronger than a gecko in it. I have numerous large tanks and various reptiles. I have only just started with geckos, so I am learning about smaller tanks. The fact that this has 3 blacked-out sides is why I bought it. The leacgianus I have is just a baby, so it should be fine.

I've tried several reptile enclosures over the years, but this 16"x16"x24" acrylic tank stands out in every way. First off, the packaging was super secure — it arrived in perfect condition. What I love most is the light-blocking design. My crested gecko has been noticeably calmer and more active at night since switching to this tank. The ventilation holes on the sides and back keep airflow consistent while still holding humidity well — no fogging, no mold, no odor. It did require light assembly, but the included instructions and video made it quick and easy. Took me under five minutes! The tank is lightweight yet sturdy, much easier to move than glass, but just as solid. And with 24 inches of vertical space, it’s perfect for arboreal species. I’ve added branches, vines, and hides — everything fits beautifully. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier. If you’re looking for a safe, smart, and stylish habitat for your exotic pets — this is it. Highly recommend!
