I ordered this for my bearded dragon who was recently upgraded to a 4’x2’x2’ enclosure and needed a bigger UVB light. The order was delayed in shipping and then arrived with the box crushed and the ends taped, the cord and mounting hardware missing, and the light bulb shattered. I messaged Amazon and they issued a replacement. The replacement took a week to arrive, but also arrived with the box crushed, ends taped up, and without a cord or mounting hardware. The light bulb seems intact this time, but of course, without the proprietary cord, I still can’t check and see if it works. After paying more than $70 and waiting 2 1/2 weeks, I am *still* without a proper UVB light for my bearded dragon. Unfortunately I live in a rural area and there aren’t any stores within over an hour radius that sell UVB lights of this size, so I’m going to have to order another one online and wait for it to arrive, but I definitely won’t be buying it from here. ... show more

I bought two of these to use in a light box for drying varnish, and they work really well! Nice and bright, and they don't get too hot (the interior of my box never goes over 80F). After a couple months of intermittent use, I had a problem with one of the bulbs so I contacted the company through Amazon. They responded right away and resolved the problem quickly. Very impressed! I tested this light for UVB rays...It tested well. The other proof is that my dragon seeks out this light. He basks half way between his incandescent and this light.

I upgraded the enclosure for my beardie and needed a longer linear UVB. I'm happy with this one and am planning to modify the enclosure so I can mount it inside since it came with the hardware to do that (unlike my previous one)

In the description it says the 54W is perfect for 48" enclosure. There is a marketing picture of it mounted on the inside of an enclosure. This light will not work on the inside of a 48-in enclosure. With the power cord inserted into the light, it is longer than 48 in where the power supply sticks out. It will work fine on top of a 48-in enclosure but absolutely not inside a 48-in enclosure unless it is mounted diagonally. They need to change their description of this product because of that. When I received it, I threw away the Amazon box but kept the product box. When I took it to UPS to ship it back they made me pay $15 for a new box just to ship it back to them. Super super frustrating considering the description says it is perfect for a 48-in enclosure with a picture of it mounted on the interior. Again, works fine if you're sticking this on top of an enclosure, but not if you're putting it inside. ... show more

Needed a 48” light for a 120 gallon tank and this one works great for a little less money…used an Arcadia UVB bulb with it as they seem to last longer.
