While on vacation puppy chewed original remote in our motorhome. TV sucks with a single power button so TV is worthless and you can't use app remote unless you use the original remote to allow app remote to communicate with TV. Ordered replacement remote and in Amazon fashion, the remote almost beat us home from vacation. It's an original replacement remote that works perfectly. Anyone who has this TV/remote combination, please go and allow app remote while you have an original working remote, you'll thank me later.

Buttons responded is laughable after a month of light use as a secondary remote. It has not been spilled on or otherwise mishandled. It's not usable without frustration. Example..it takes multiple presses of the home button to reach home screen...after it opens sidesettings menus which is supposed to be the settings button. It randomly ignores presses & also randomly turns one press into multiple. Either buy a replacent of the device brand or Amazon brand or use the free firetv app. If the stupid smart TV had any buttons on it, I'd throw this away and not even use as a backup.

Had to buy this to replace the original remote after my daughter decided to send it swimming in my water cup. So this one is Bluetooth to my insignia fire tv. It totally works but the delay from button press to the action is unreal. For example, I can press pause and it won't pause so when I end up pressing the pause button 10 more times my TV freaks out and sounds like it's dying.
