I bought two of these figuring I may return one. I like the layout of the remote on the left and was planning to return this one (right picture) but I was very surprised. The one on the left was very laggy and I will return it. This one (right) performs really well. Highly recommend. PS: A feature I found handy is a light on the remote that lights with button presses. I like the feedback - some may not. Most of my old remotes have no light. A few have lights that blink when you are trying to pair them. Again, nice feature.

I bought this for my Fire Cube 3rd Generation as an additional remote, and wasn't expecting much based on past purchases of third party remotes. But this one is nicer than the original remote I had in two ways. First, it just feels better, both the texture and the shape. Second, I didn't think the app buttons would be useful, but they do switch to another program very quickly if that program is in memory. You can program two buttons for apps not specified, which I've done for the Channels DVR app and the local PBS station's app. When programming the remote to be recognized by the Fire Cube it's recognized as an Amazon Voice Remote, so apparently it cannot tell it's a third party device????

It took awhile to get it working. The button on the remote method didn't work luckily read more and found instructions to go to settings and add the remote then it began to work.

Works about 1/3 of the time. Often doesn't turn on my sound equipment. Extra program buttons are nice if they are working. I can press play then the remote will go unresponsive until I push multiple buttons. Do not recommend.

I attempted to use an old Fire TV Stick remote as a second remote on my 4K Max, but it only worked partially, so I bought this one. I didn’t realize the new one wasn’t an OEM product until I received it, but I could tell the second I picked it up. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked with my Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Samsung Smart TV with no programming required. Some reviews mention the battery door breaking on the first use, but fortunately, that didn’t happen to me. Overall, even though the remote felt a bit flimsy, it performed much better than expected. It was easy to set up, and I appreciated how quickly it connected to my devices. While I still have some concerns about its durability in the long run, so far, I’m happy with how well it’s working. I’ll wait and see how it holds up over time, but for now, it’s exceeding my initial expectations.
