I was hesitant in buying this given some of the reviews, but so far it’s been prefect! Opened box and everything looked new. Nintendo does not support nor sell English version of Wii U Gamepad. Synced to console and works/looks great!!! A lot of data on Wii Fit U and did not want to loose my data.

The gamepad I received is clearly a refurbished unit, but it appears to at least have a new battery; it also has its stylus! It is pretty clean. The screen is clear and unscratched. It synced up with my Wii U without hassle.

Seems like for the longest time you couldn't get one of these without buying the whole system again. Our Wii-U has been gathering dust because the old game pad broke. New one synced with the old system just fine. Time will tell of the "renewed" battery lasts.

When buying this i had no indicstion on th3 description that it was refurbished. The controller came with a few scratches on it but not on the screen luckily. There is no serial number plate on the back and the screw covers are gone. The battery only lasts maybe 45 mind if I am lucky. I tried to set up a return or replace, or even a refund and they took over a week go to respond. When they did, they were willing to refund 10%. So basically $10 for my troubles. ... show more

Replacement for worn out unit. It works. Am wondering if it is brand new and not refurbished. Assumed new, but black marker “x” on battery cover makes me think otherwise. Listing doesn’t say. Concern is for life of unit which I wouldn’t have worried about for new unit because next time a replacement may be hard to find. Also, price seemed high given price of complete Wii-U console. No complaints. Just concerns for durability and longevity given possible worn parts which is what happened to our old one causing replacement. ... show more

My original pad couldn’t be taken more than two feet from the main unit. Reading online this appears to be a common issue. Instead of fighting with Nintendo, I took a chance. Took all of 3 minutes to install. Works great!!!! Highly recommend.
