Yes, I read the reviews. I see some folks dislike the material and I see a few others that had a hard time putting it on. Yes, it's a different material... and I'm glad. This material is thinner, because it's MUCH better. Just because something feels different doesn't make it worse. After all... if the original material was so great, I wouldn't be replacing it in the first place. And about the assembly... I had not trouble at all figuring it out. If you know your left and and your right hand, you'll do just fine. Good product, easy to put on, I'm happy... looks great too. ... show more

Needed a replacement due to age and tearing of the old one. This one fits just fine, but like others have said, it sags when it rains and water collects in the sag. We remedied that by putting two egg-crate type ceiling lighting panels that we got from Home Depot. Had to cut them down to size, but the hold the canopy up and no more rain puddles. Holds up pretty good in the wind too. ... show more

The canopy fit perfectly but is made out of cheap materials. I immediately ripped when installing due to the thin material.

Fits old canopy frame great and not bad to install. This one is "rip proof" so it is a different material than the original. It collects rain water and we ended up having to anchor the swing because the wind wants to take it as well. The original fabric would have been a better choice for our situation especially on windy rainy Indiana spring days. ... show more
