Needed a scale with slightly higher capacity then the average scale at my local Walmart. This did the trick. It is fast, allows you to stand straight an look forward, notifies you when the scale has settled and taken your weight. It has been inline +/- less than a pound with other scales we have used. We did manage to put some scratches in the surface of the scale by placing a laundry basket with some clothes that must have had some sand on the bottom. If you get the black scale, beware the surface scratches easily and is noticeable. Otherwise, we are happy with the scale. ... show more

I have placed my scale in my dining room to keep myself accountable of my weight. Funny story...my cat has her food/water bowls in the dining room as well. She eats at night. Now that she realizes there's a new object to sit on she's been weighing herself (lololol!!) and I guess she's displeased with the numbers that pop up because as soon as she hears that beep while sitting on it she looks down and runs off.
