  • Easy to Read Scale
Color: Cyan Blue Size: 440 LB
This scale is great. Easy to read and uses AAA batteries as opposed to 2032 Button battery. I would recommend this item.

  • Bathroom scale.
Color: Stainless/Clear Size: 440 LB
Love it. I always look forward to pulling it out of the corner of the room and putting it in the middle of the bathroom, jumping on at once, and then getting off in there, i'm bumping it a little bit, and then trying it again, and that's what your weight is

  • I did not recieve the scale in the Amazon photograph.
Color: Stainless/Clear Size: 440 LB
You have to look carefully in comparing the images, but it's not the same scale. We have the scale pictured in the Amazon photograph, which we purchased in 2010, is very accurate, and still working well after 14 years. We wanted a second one for a second bathroom. When the new one arrived and I took it out of the box, I knew immediately that it wasn't identical. This new one in my posted photo is a "shrinkflation" version of the old one. The glass is thinner and the vertical rods are much thinner and flimsier looking. It's also not as accurate. I'm 106 lbs. on the old one and 105 lbs. on the new one. My husband is 195 lbs on the old one and 192 lbs. on the the one, so the heavier the weight, the greater the difference. I checked with Taylor and they confirmed that the one we recieved is a genuine Taylor scale and that they have thousands, yes, thousands of models. Increadible! Only a few are on their website and this one isn't one of them. My husband likes the new scale because it has a backlit screen that makes it easy to read and he probably likes that it shaves three pounds off his weight, so we decided to keeps it, but I did want to put it out there to look your purchase over carefully when you recieve it because it might not be exactly what you ordered. ... show more

  • inaccurate and hard to use
Color: Stainless/Clear Size: 440 LB
I bought this scale to replace my old one of the same brand. I used the old one for MANY years and loved it. This one, not so much. I have to stomp on it, often multiple times, with both feet to get it to turn on. The weight fluctuates greatly and I don't trust the accuracy. It's incredibly frustrating not getting a good, trust worthy reading when I'm working incredibly hard to lose weight and can't accurately track my progress. ... show more

  • Consistent and Accurate Scale
Color: Stainless/Clear Size: 440 LB
Past scales I've owned have been useless b/c of lack of consistency. I checked this scale for consistency (shows the same weight for the same object weighed multiple times under the same conditions) and accuracy (although a scale can be consistent - showing the same number for the same object - the number itself may not be correct). Summary: Consistency is within 2/10's of a pound (I was hoping for just within 1 pound so ... this exceeds my expectations) and, based on my holding dumbbell weights, it's accurate. Details (I kept the scale in the exact same position on a hard, flat/even floor w/ no bumps, inclines or declines): Consistency Test 1: 1. Tapped scale to turn it on, got on & weighed myself: 198.4 2. Got off scale, didn't let the scale turn off by itself, got on again & weighed myself: 198.4 3. Got off scale, let the scale turn off by itself, tapped it to turn it on, got on & weighed myself: 198.4 Accuracy and 2nd Consistency Test (this is not 100% accurate b/c these are old, metal dumbbells & they were never checked for how accurate their weights are -- the maker of the dumbbells can have a reasonable margin of error of a couple of tenths of a pound and/or the weights may have chipped here and there) 1. Put 2 25-pound dumbbells on the scale and they weighed 49.6 (issue: difficult to simulate the same condition as someone standing on the scale) 2. Let scale turn off by itself, tapped it to turn it on, got on scale holding a 30-pound dumbbell: 228.0 (4/10's lb difference based on Consistency Test 1) 3. Let scale turn off by itself, tapped it to turn it on, got on scale holding a 20-pound dumbbell: 218.2 (2/10's lb difference based on Consistency Test 1) Final Consistency Test (Compare to first): * Using the weights helped to check accuracy AND they helped to simulate someone else getting on the scale so that I could then do another, final consistency check for my weight alone and compare it to the first consistency test: 1. Let scale turn off by itself, tapped it to turn it on, got on scale without any dumbbells: 198.2 (2/10's lb difference based on Consistency Test 1) 2. Let scale turn off by itself, tapped it to turn it on, got on scale again without any dumbbells: 198.2 (2/10's lb difference based on Consistency Test 1) * 2/10's of a pound difference between the first test and this test exceeds my expectations. Notes: 1. I kept the same clothes on (including glasses) and didn't eat, drink, go to the bathroom, etc between weighings. 2. Always first tap the scale with your foot to turn it on; don't just get on the scale if the scale is off (it didn't calculate my weight when I didn't tap it first to turn it on) 3. Scale will turn off by itself after about 15 seconds from last weighing 4. When you get on the scale, you'll see the digital weight number fluctuating until the scale determines the correct weight and then it will blink the final number to show that it's done calculating. ... show more
