Chair arrived with back and seat/base as two pieces. They included brand new wheels as they had no grime whatsoever. There were some minor scratches and some dents in the adjustment pieces. It looked like the former user had installed it with a ball peen hammer, where the instructions stated to tap with palm or rubber mallet. It also looked like the factory had not mixed the paint well when finishing the base. A bit splotchy, but not too bad. Be aware that although this chair is not as heavy as office furniture can be; you will need some tools. There were no tools included such as the assembly instructions said to use. The fasteners all required Torx bits of several sizes. After looking at online instructions for adjustment; I am going to keep the chair as this Embody style is quite comfortable. ... show more

This is my first Herman Miller and it’s really comfortable. I can’t wait to get back to work so I can use it all day. I ordered this chair and it literally arrived the next morning from far away so thanks for the super fast shipping!
