These work well as replacements for a fine shaver. The only difficulty is taking off the old screen that -- through much use -- got a hole. I found it very difficult to follow the Remington directions to get the old screen loose from its holder.

I rarely post reviews. I've been using off-brand replacement cutter and foils for years, and the last ones didn't work at all. So I tried this kit and it feels like I have a brand new electric razor. Very happy with this purchase.

Nothing to dislike. The shaver head worked perfectly and gave a close and smooth shave. This was the only place I could find a replacement for my old Remington shaver. Thank you.

    • Great replacement parts
Purchased these last December and installed them after Christmas. The cutter didn't look the same as the original: it is a little shorter and has fewer blades spaced farther apart, but it fit perfectly and worked great. The screen was what I really needed as the original one had worn through. The screen was identical; it fit and worked perfectly until just recently (early October 2011) when it too wore through making a hole that bites/scratches if I'm not careful. That's over nine months of daily use. I believe the recommendation is to replace at six months, so there's no complaint here. I just wish they were less expensive. ... show more

Quite some time ago. I bought a Remington shaver for $25. despite it's rather unimpressive look. It turned out to be an excellent shaver. providing closer shaves than one I recently bought for $49 dollars. Finding a replacement screen and cutter. Remington makes a great electric shaver and this was worth the purchase. YES, I said this but I am changing my rave review to one of great disappointment. The electric razor is still working after a number of years but this replacement foil is not the same quality. It lasted about a year before the screen was worn out to the point where my face was all scratched up because of that thin foil wore out. I didn't see anything amiss but after I shaved one morning, my wife asked me about the scratch marks on my face. I looked in the mirror and because of the many long strokes, there was only one explanation. I went to my razor, passed my fingers along the surface and sure enough, a slight raising of worn out foil was protruding. A closer look at my face and neck and I saw ugly red swellings, more than a dozen, running up and down my face and neck, exactly according to the directions I always shave with the electric razor. ... show more

The foil is always first to go. I ordered the kit, but the razor itself doesn't seem any sharper than my old one. The spring is sort of superfluous since the existing one always fine.

I purchased this set of blades and screens back in December,2009 and they are still working fine! I should point out that I own several electric shavers of various brands and types (corded, cordless, rotary heads, etc.) and use them all at different times. Still, I have averaged about three shaves a week with my Remington for the past three years, and that says a lot for these SP-62's. Maybe keeping the shaver clean and using preshave lotion helps, or maybe my beard is not quite as tough as others, but the fact remains: Remington shavers have always performed and lasted very well for me, and still remain my favorite over other brands! ... show more
