I just got this item to replace the original head (top in images) on my shaver. I can confirm that operation of this replacement head (bottom in images) is very noisy, and the quality of the shaving is rather poor. Most of the shaving is done by the central blade (based on the amount of hair collected beneath it). The outer blades don't do much, making it impossible to shave the space directly above my ears. A closer inspection of the replacement head and comparison with the original head shows several redesigns. My suspicion is that the manufactured tried to reduce the amount of metal used by thinning the blades, which required extra plastic supports. These are probably causing the noise. Also, the design of the blades (orientation of the small sections) has been changed, which may be responsible for the poor shaving quality. Overall, a very disappointing product. ... show more

Hello friends- If you are/were in my situation, looking for a replacement head for your dome shinning machine, don’t buy this! I bought this because it seemed to be the upper echelon (titanium) version to what I was replacing. Absolutely terrible decision. I’ve used this head three times with terrible results. It is ridiculously loud, nearly needing ear plugs to get through a shave! It does not get around ears properly! It feels as if it’s pulling out your hair rather than actually cutting it. To get a close shave, you have to go over the same areas so many times, it leaves your actual scalp irritated. The only blade that seems to actually cut is the center one. So, given my silly math, it’s going to take 1,000 times longer to shave with one of the five blades. Tis my 2twotoototutu cents on this shaving head. Really bummed! Wish I could return it for a replacement of the original blades. Garbage! Good luck y’all! ... show more

The brush is not adequate for cleaning; I need to rinse this in the shower or the Balder Boss does not operate properly.
