  • Cute and good quality kitchen tools for kids
I got this for my daughters sixth birthday. She loves helping mommy around the house doing a lot of things. She’s always up for baking. She was beyond delighted when she opened this. We immediately washed everything up and got to work. She helped bake some yummy cookies right away. The apron fit well and is nice quality. All the tools are easy for her small hands to grip. She has weaker hand strength so it’s really good for her to use. She’s even peeled cucumbers with the peeler and sliced them with her knives. No issues. I’d highly recommend to others. ... show more

  • Excellent quality
I bought this for my 8 year old step daughter as a Christmas gift. She loves to cook and this is perfect for teaching her the basics! When she opened it, we made some pies for our family dinner and she had a blast! Everything is sturdy and excellent quality. I will definitely be buying more curious chef products! ... show more

  • Impressive-looking collection of basic cooking utensils -- but a little pricey for the quality.
This is a really fun and comprehensive basic kitchen set for aspiring cooks, attractively packaged in a large box that would make an impressive gift presentation. The kit includes prep bowls, a chef's apron, two plastic knives, a rolling pin, an apple-shaped cutting board (they say tomato, but I say apple), an apple corer, a vegetable peeler, and other items. It all looks pretty impressive at first glance. However, at over 50 dollars for 25 pieces, it seems a tad pricy. Particularly when you consider that 12 of the 25 pieces come in the form of a 6-piece plastic measuring spoon set and a 6-piece plastic measuring cup set, which I expect could be easily found in a dollar store. Curious Chef's motto is "Get Kids Really Cooking WITH REAL KITCHEN TOOLS." Personally, I don't know why a child couldn't use regular "adult" real kitchen tools -- except for the knives -- and I can't imagine the plastic measuring cups and spoons in this kit would last long or hold up well in the long run. The plastic knives can certainly cut, but still require require adult supervision, and the other items seem lower quality than what one could find in the housewares section of most stores. So -- this is a great-looking package that looks like it would be a super-fun gift although I question the value of the contents. I do think some children would really enjoy having a matching set of coordinated cooking utensils, and this fits the bill. ... show more

  • Nice cooking set for kids
I bought this for my 6 year old daughter’s birthday and she loves it! I looked around quite a bit at kids cooking stuff and this set seemed like the best bang for my buck. It has a good variety of cooking tools and they seem to be of good quality so far. Great set!

  • Disappointed
This product was damaged when I open the box there’s a hole in the back of the box it’s taped up I paid for a brand new item and I feel like they gave me what was left over. This is supposed to be a gift and I’m embarrassed to even gift it

  • Great assortment
Bought for the little chef in the house. He loves it and enjoys storing and pulling out “tools” he needs to make food. Items are great quality and are not just suitable for kids.

  • The tools included are fairly good quality and most of them can do 'real' cooking
Whoa! $57??!! I was ready to give this a four star review at $30; didn't realize it was nearly twice that. The tools included are fairly good quality and most of them can do 'real' cooking. The rolling pin is solid, the spatulas are thick and strong, the cutting board is small, but has a rubber edge and fits my five-year-old children pretty well. The measuring cups are an odd shape, being GIANT ovals. I didn't feel that they were easy to wash or use since they are so wide. The knives are fine for cutting softer foods, but nothing that requires a very sharp edge. My daughter immediately pulled the drawstring out of the apron; I wish it were stitched on somewhere instead of just being loose inside the apron seams. Overall, this set is capable of doing the type of cooking 'assist' work that you would expect from a child. You're not going to see them using it on top Chef (maybe on Chopped though...), but they are fine for helping with little kitchen chores that add to real meals. ... show more
