It's a surprisingly nice unit and works well. Extremely quiet and way more options than I need for my pole barn. I did the installation completely myself and I have never installed (or even helped install) a mini split unit before. (yea I am crazy that way) and admittedly it was a super easy installation since it's just on the side of my pole barn. The only things that could have been better were: - Installation instructions were decent but not really super detailed for a end user. (but considering you are supposed to have a professional install it) it makes sense. I was not sure if I should have cut the lines short but from what I read elsewhere leaving the lines long and just coiling them horizontally doesn't hurt efficiency and is "safer" for the unit than making then super short (mine would have only been like 5' long) - The wrap that you use to wrap up the lines does not stick at all to itself. I don't know if that is by design but it seems like it should have and that would have made wrapping the lines up better. (yes I know I went overkill on wrapping the lines) Some things that were better than expected: - The app interface is actually nice, interfaces with Google well, "hey google, what's the temperature in my Pole barn?" - The wiring was SUPER easy, loved how they have little markers on the wires themselves. - Kit really did have everything you need, even a nice supply of the sealing putty, Nice template for hanging the indoor unit. In the end I would for sure do it again and recommend this unit. Bring on the summer heat! ... show more

Unit was easy to install. You will need gauges and vacuum pump suitable for R32. I have HVAC experience, however it’s been 20 years since I’ve been an active contractor. The unit installed as planned and is working well. Very good price. It replaced a Samsung mini split (also 18,000 btu) that was nothing but a 4 year disappointment and much costlier. The 9’ line set was plenty long enough for my purpose, however had I mounted the condenser on the ground, rather than elevated on a 304 stainless mount it may not have been. In my case the shorter line set was preferable. I would purchase again. ... show more

That line set is not the minimum required for better performance it does come with a 9 ft. And mini splits require minimum 15ft for best performance.
