  • Easy to I stall
Replaced worn hardware on an old guitar case. Did a good job

  • Perfect
My trombone case came with two broken latches and this brand looked like the closest match to what was already there. It was a perfect exchange. Removed the side of the latch that was broken and it worked perfectly with the half that was intact. Very pleased with how the project turned out

  • Excellent latch.
These were used to replace broken latches on band instrument cases and they worked very well.

No screws....could have earned solid 5's but no screws. Who does that?

  • Great replacement hasp
I used these hasps to replace the old push style clasps on my trumpet case. They worked out great for me, but there are a few things to consider for your own project 1) As others have mentioned, screws are not included. I needed to use screws and nuts for my application. All the hasps with fasteners have wood screws included. I would have had to procure screws and nuts anyways. 2) The arm bar rests about 2mm above the side screw holes. I shaved the top of the side screws with a belt sander. I think they were designed for rivets, but it was easy to modify my screws. 3) The side holes are right up against the lock body. I flattened one side of each of the side screws with a belt sander. 4) The underside of the lock body has a raised section. This worked on my case because I had to straddle a metal trim piece. If you are mounting these on flush sides, they will have a gap under them where they latch. Overall, these are a great value for a DIY fix. New trumpet cases are about $100, so the $4ish I paid is a great value. I will be saving these in an Amazon list for future projects! ... show more

  • Cheaply made
I made an error in purchasing these, and it was due to my lack of attention when placing the order. I failed to note that these clasps were not MLaval case latches. My bad. I bought these because they were similar to the latches on my acoustic Gator case. I only need the top part of the latches to replace the part that was missing when I bought my case. Unfortunately, these will do me no good, but most importantly, these latches are very cheaply made. One this is for sure, if you plan on using these to replace worn out latches on a case, do NOT put a guitar that's worth anything into said case. ... show more

  • As seen in picture 👍
After ordering a similar latch on Amazon that didn't match the picture shown, I ordered this one. Exact match for my Martin guitar case. Very happy 😊
