  • Changing the bottom roller, NOT THE PREFERED but the SAFEST and EASIEST install METHOD.
Size: 10 Pack
Replaced 10 rollers on a 4 yr old clopay 16 ft by 7' door with the two wound springs on the rod that runs along the top of the door. The 4 rollers on each side starting from the top were easy to change one at a time and i did both sides before looking how to change the bottom roller. The bottom rollers on the Clowpay door have two bolts ,two pins that lock in notches on the end of the door and a stud that the spring loaded cable is attached to. DO NOT TAKE THE BOTTOM ROLLER PLATE OFF UNLESS YOU RELEASE THE TENSION ON THE OVERHEAD SPRINGS AND CABLE!............or ...............DO THIS METHOD AS I DID. ABOUT MID CHANNEL ON EACH SIDE FOUR FOOT OFF THE FLOOR OR SO TAKE A SMALL PLIERS AND GENTLY BEND THE J SECTION OF THE CHANNEL OPEN FOR ABOUT AN INCH OR SO. YOU WANT THE OPENING JUST WIDE ENOUGH THE ROLLER WILL COME OUT FROM BEHIND THE J OR RADIUSED SIDE OF THE CHANNEL. LOOSENING THE CHANNEL BRACKET TO THE WALL THAT IS LOCATED NEAR THAT AREA MAY HELP ALSO. TO SLIDE THE ROLLER OUT OF THE HOUSING RAISE THE GARAGE DOOR TILL THE BOTTOM ROLLER IS LINED UP WITH THE CHANNEL YOU OPENED UP. SLIDE A SCREW DRIVER BETWEEN THE OUTSIDE OF THE ROLLER AND THE CHANNEL AND PRY THE CHANNEL TILL THE ROLLER IS OUTSIDE THE CHANNEL AND THE DOOR CAN BE PULLED OUT ENOUGH TO FREE THE ROLLER. ONCE THE ROLLER IS OUTSIDE THE TRACK SLIDE IT OUT AND SLIDE THE NEW ROLLER IN IT'S PLACE. TAKE A PRYBAR ABOVE THE ROLLER AND PRY BETWEEN THE SIDE OF THE DOOR AND THE TRACK TO GIVE YOU CLEARANCE TO SLIDE THE DOOR BACK INWARD TIGHT TO THE DOOR FRAME. LOWER THE DOOR AND GENTLY SHAPE THE J BACK INTO IT'S ORIGINAL BEND. A DEEP WELL SOCKET CAN BE LAYED IN THE TRACK AND A BALL PEEN HAMMER CAN BE USED TO TAP ON THE INCH OR SO YOU OPENED UP TO SLIDE THE ROLLER OUT. DO BOTH SIDES ONE AND A TIME AND WHEN ALL DONE USE A SMALL FILE TO TAKE ANY BURRS THAT ARE PRESENT. ........ ALTHOUGH THIS METHOD MAY NOT BE THE BEST IT IS THE SAFEST AND FASTEST METHOD TO CHANGE THE BOTTOM ROLLERS THAT HAVE THE SPRING LOADED CABLE ATTACHED TO THEM. ... show more

  • Those bottom rollers
Size: 12 Pack
The first 10 roller replacements went well. I removed the hinges and replaced the 20+ year old metal rollers, discovering that the bearings had worn down and had become loose. I thought I would not get the bottom ones done since the brackets were under cable tension and I wasn't going to risk an accident. I then saw a video that suggested removing some of the track supports and twisting the bottom to free the old rollers and slide in the new ones. That worked. When reattaching the track you have to be certain that the other rollers are still in it. I freed three track supports to allow the twisting. May be just doing two on each side would have worked. ... show more

  • Big help
Size: 10 Pack
These rollers do the job much better than the original rollers installed when the door was installed. These rollers will NOT make the door silent..but they WILL help . My garage door actually " screamed " on both opening or closing but theses new rollers have taken that noise away leaving just the loud buzzing of the worm screw as it engages the door. Also did A full cleaning of all tracks and removal of old dirt and grease and used A spray on Garage door lube on all lift springs and rollers. Bottom line.... no screaming and new rollers are easy to install. ... show more

  • Worked Perfectly!
Size: 10 Pack
These were a perfect fit for my garage. It took some muscle to get the wheels out of the track, but once out the new ones slid right in and are much quieter then the old metal wheels! If you can handle getting the old wheels out of the tracks then this is a 10/10 upgrade for any garage. Quieter, smoother operation and inexpensive upgrade to your home. ... show more

  • Didn’t know how much I needed these
Size: 12 Pack
My garage door is 16 years old and the rollers rolled-ish. Never paid any mind to the creaks and moans when the door was raised. It was just normal. Boy was I in for a shock! Took about an hour to change the 12 rollers. Now the hum of the opener is louder than the door. Just a phenomenal change and should have done years ago. $30 well spent 1. Remember- do not remove red bolts. Those hold the spring tension and will cause injuries if removed. 2. Grease the roller stems. If you watch the door closely the stems slide during operations. 3. Lubricate the panel hinges in the middle of the door. Quality construction on these rollers. Looks like they will give years of service. ... show more

  • Wow! Quiet replacement
Size: 10 Pack
My door used to make such a racket that I thought it would fall apart. Now,I really have to listen closely to make sure the door is going up. Be absolutely sure you do not remove the roller bracket at the bottom of the door. You should be able to just bend the track enough to replace the roller. The bottom brackets are attached to cables which are under a lot of tension and if the bottom bracket is removed, the cable could come loose and seriously harm you or do severe damage. I suggest watching on line installation instruction video ... show more

  • Quality rollers
Size: 10 Pack
My garage door rollers were worn out and very loose. Slid these in and they work good. It made the door a little quieter but not much.
