  • Material is durable
Color: Dark Gray with Black Seam Lines Size: 96''L x 21.6''W-14.4sqft
The material is easy to cut and install. Overall, the installation was easy, even for a 74 year old with arthritic hands and it looks great. I think the 3M adhesive is a real plus because when it sets it is sets. More importantly, the company stands behind its product.

  • Top quality product. Save yourself some money
Color: Gray with Blue Seam Lines Size: 48''L x 16.8''W-5.6sqft
I wanted to cover a step I built out of closed cell foam to use as a helm step. I started out looking at much more expensive products and decided to give ocean broad a try. It was simple to install and turned out amazing looking. I'm very happy with it and I saved a ton of money. So far it's been about 2 months and it seems to be holding up fine. I would highly recommend this product over other well-known brands which I think are extremely overpriced. I also contacted the seller with some questions and they were very responsive and answered me quickly. ... show more

  • Looks great, feels great underfoot. Take the time to do the extra effort for a better outcome.
Color: Gray with Black Seam Lines Size: 96''L x 36''W-24sqft
As with others reviews it does not stick to the surface as well as you would like it to. Primarily it will be an issue if the surface is not totally flat or at the ends of the material where it was rolled up. I did several rolls of different widths and lengths to make my job easier: decking on a boat. This product has the 3M adhesive label on the bottom with a waxy plastic like consistency. The adhesive on the bottom did not feel or appear to be dried out. The boat surface the EVA foam was attached to is metal. It was cleaned with soap and water and then a degreaser. The product was left unrolled and out in the heat inside a garage to acclimate. It was rolled as it was installed. The edges in a couple of places did start to lift after while. I used 3M "90" spray adhesive under those spots and put weight of all sorts on the product to force it to cure in the correct position. On the rest of the project I used the spray adhesive on the deck and bottom of the EVA foam with extra at the edges. An amusing display of weighted objects were employed, concrete blocks, wood block, tool boxes,a scrap of granite, a tackle box etc. After curing 24 hours I removed the weights, let sit another 24 hours then inspected. No bubble or lifted seams. Overall it was easy to cut and other than my amateur trimming around hatches it looks really good. One thing I did was make a template out of cardboard in areas that are beyond a straight or square and that helped a lot. Amazon boxes were used for that. Last note. Trying to draw lines on the backside of the foam was very difficult. Permanent marker, ink pen, pencil -nothing wanted to stick. Marker was the best but still faint. I used some type of straight edge whenever possible. A test trip was made. No issues seen when pulling the boat at highway speeds (65) or when pounding around on the water. I chose gray with black stripes. It feels good under your feet and is WAY cooler to the touch in 95 degree sun filled trips. I fish and soon realized that my color will show fish blood stains if you don't catch it right away. Just ask my fishing buddy. A camo color would not show that as much but I really didn't like what was offered. I hope this helps! Thickness: Thick enough to cushion feet and deaden noise. Size: different lengths and wide helped reduce waste of product and easier adaption to my floor plan, ... show more

  • This Will Stick!
Color: Gray with White Seam Lines Size: 96''L x 28.8''W-19.2sqft
This stuff is like wresting an anaconda. Lay it out flat and put light weight on it to get the memory out. Mark up a template. I used clear plastic. Reverse it to cut from the back side of the foam where the adhesive is. Measure two or three times to make sure you are right. Start at one end an pull underneath while pressing down. If you are laying a several sections, make sure your lines are correct. Plan ahead. This stuff is sticky. I did the entire floor of my boat and it looks great. Really sticks once you get it set. Keep putting pressure on it by walking around or light weight in the corners. ... show more

  • Revised Review: Great Customer Service. Product Good for Some Applications, not all
Color: Brown with Black Seam Lines Size: 96''L x 28.8''W(2pack-38.4sqft)
I'll leave my original review at the bottom. Here are my reasons for updating it and my conclusions. I contacted the Oceanbroad people and they were polite and understanding. They set up a ZOOM call to hear my opinions, and offered to replace the material. They genuinely want to take care of customers and launch a quality product. I give them points for that. I have a 30-foot sailboat that sits on a mooring in Miami where it gets full sun exposure. If you keep your boat in a garage or under a cover, or use this for interior floors, I imagine you'll get plenty of use from vinyl teak. And this will be the case for many boaters. The material is attractive, sticks well, and it's easy to work with. It's comfortable to walk on barefoot and makes excellent non-skid. If you have a cruising vessel exposed to full-time tropical sun, thermoplastic material will probably serve you better—or if you have the funds, real wood can last 50 years. • Vinyl is affordable and easy to work with for low-sun applications. In high sun, it shrinks and deteriorates. • Thermoplastic is slightly harder to work with and costs more but has a five-year guarantee. I haven't tried it to verify the results, and guarantees usually cover material costs only. Measuring and cutting panels and borders is time-consuming. You want to do the job once whether you hire someone to do it or DIY. • Wood is hardest to work with and costs the most, but any problems with it will almost certainly be the next owner's expense. In the long run, it's the best bargain despite the up-front costs. If you're considering vinyl decking, understand that it has its limitations. Vinyl that's UV-rated for 1000 hours will give you 125 eight-hour days of sun. If your boat is only exposed to sun when you use it, that can mean 125 days on the water—which is almost 3 years worth of Saturdays. But if your boat sits uncovered on a mooring, the material can shrink and deteriorate quickly. As long as you understand the pros and cons and choose the right material for your application, you'll be happy with Oceanbroad and their EVA foam boat flooring. Here's my original review. -------------------------- I used this EVA teak to create non-skid surfaces in my sailboat cockpit. I bought it because the 3M adhesive sounded like it would last—and so far, it has. But the vinyl has problems: 1. Whether this deteriorates because of UV exposure or on its own, it leaves orange "mud" everywhere. Sit on it with a wet swimsuit and you'll have an orange butt. A good scrub will temporarily help but then the problem returns. I can see the molded-in faux wood grain is wearing away. 2. After taking time and care to lay out borders and strips, I was disappointed to discover that many of my tight, invisible joints had opened up. If the material was worthwhile, I'd fill the voids with caulk—another project—but that would just make its inevitable removal more of a nightmare. How much re-painting will be needed when I redo this is yet to be seen. 3. The orange color is just a bit too bright to be natural (though I let that go at first thinking the material would work out). I did everything right and ended up with what will turn to to be an expensive time suck. ... show more

Turned out really nice. Do yourself a favor and unroll and put in the sun to make it easier to work with. 3M seemed to bind well.
