  • Excellent portable bandsaw
I have had and used portable milwaukee bandsaws for 30 years now and this one is by far my favorite. I mainly cut .188" thick 304 stainless and it does it well with the factory blade. It's got a light that hits right at the cut point with a nice platform to cut against. I find it much easier to hold a straight cut line than on the larger deep throat plug in one I have. If you cut rebar, allthread, conduit or anything else that fits, you will love it. Super light weight, easy to handle with one hand and easy to set down without worrying about damaging it. It is a mostly plastic tool but has been very durable so far. My elbows, hands and shoulders are relieved to have it. ... show more

  • A handy little saw
I got this saw to add to an M12 tool kit that I'm building over time. It proved to be a great addition. It's small and lightweight for easy carrying, Plenty powerful enough for cutting steel bolts, threaded rod, Unistrut or other jobsite metal. I've used it to trim parts off of wall mounts for flat screen TV's that blocked the jack pack on the rear. Best part is that you can use it inside the house, over a trash can, without making a mess, and without the fire hazard of a chop saw. Homeowners, if you dread the hacksaw, you need this tool. It makes cutting steel as easy as cutting wood. You can use it to trim wire shelving, support brackets, plant hangers or a myriad of other little metal pieces. It's one of those tools that once you have it, You wonder how you ever lived without it. ... show more

  • Why did I wait so long?
I've seen these type of saws around for years but never purchased one. I have a large DeWalt corded saw that works fine but not for running around our1+ acre property. This saw works great. I've used on it on pipe, conduit, copper pipe, 5/8" threaded rod and various things. 12v battery lasts a long time. I have other Milwaukee tools, battery and corded. ... show more

  • Big power in a small package
This is a great saw for small diameter cuts. The blade says it's for light steel, however I have cut through the forks of a forklift, brake chamber shafts and other objects and still using the blade that came with it. I definitely recommend this saw.

  • Received defective unit
The saw itself is great and cuts well, however the saw I recived had a bad trigger and would only run at full speed when squeezing the crap out of the trigger. Also the lock out button would not stay clicked to one side or the other and had to be held in in order to operate the saw.. I don’t beleave the saw I recived was a new unit but a refurbished or returned saw. The one I bought from a box store to replace it works like it’s supposed to. If you buy this saw from here make sure to check it over real good and make sure it’s operating like it should. Also my saw was shipped in it’s original box advertising to everyone around that a free Milwaukee saw was sitting on my porch. ... show more

  • Great product, well duh, its Milwaukee!!!
I am a Journeyman service electrician, and a total Milwaukee freak. My coworker bought this a few months back, and ever since using it I saved up for this. It is lightweight enough to take anywhere, but heavy duty and powerful enough to shred 1-5/8 strut all day! A great buy and would recommend to anyone needing a tool to get on roofs, tight areas, or anyone doing service work. ... show more

  • Fast and quiet.
Used it a few times and worked great. I cut some copper pipe and black pipe. 1 1/4 black is the largest it will take. Cuts fast with a new blade.

  • Excellent
I'm constantly using mine as a maintenance mechanic. Cuts rebar like butter, great tool for cutting conduit and other things like support rods especially when you're in a confined space like a drop-ceiling. Do pay attention to your cuts though because the light has a tendency to throw off a straight cut. Do yourself a favor and just buy this as a kit with the carrying case, battery, and charger. You wouldn't believe how much of a nightmare it is just to find the carrying case itself, let alone for under $50. ... show more
