I bought two, one for each of my kids. One has Aspergers and one has ADHD and Tactile Sensory Disorder. These blankets were an immediate blessing for them. They are freaking heavy. It’s like a full on body hug. I bought this particular blanket because the blankets themselves need to be dry cleaned and these come with removable, zipper, machine washable covers. And they are deliciously soft!!! My kids went out of town and had to leave their blankets behind. I thought I’d try one to see if it helped me sleep at all. I absolutely do NOT recommend these to anyone that is claustrophobic like me. I woke up thinking I was trapped and completely freaking out. Just putting that out there. They come in a few sizes and a few weights. This review is based upon the 15# weight and the 60x80 blanket. Hope this helps!

The media could not be loaded. It was so exciting to finally order myself a weighted blanket! I bought myself the 41 x 60, 10 pound blanket. I am a small frame female mid 50's. The rating was 4.4, one of the highest. I confess I did not read the 1 star reviews. It arrived quickly and I couldn't wait to use it, so much so I took a nap =) I didn't spread it out bc I didn't want to sleep all day, lol, so I doubled it over and laid it across my torso. Pure bliss! That night I slept very well. Over the course of the next several nights, I began to sleep so so, maybe it was just me, but my sleep wasn't like the first few nights. Finally I figured that there was definitely something amiss. The blanket didn't feel as heavy ON me any longer. It only felt heavy when I went to move it, as in the entire blanket. So I felt around and there was a definite difference. I included (trying but I guess 1 minute is too long) a video and as you can see, there are squares sewn through out the base blanket. After comparing the middle squares to the outer squares, I have come to the conclusion that yes there is a significant difference in the amount of sand in the outer vs the inner squares. I'm guessing that it starts out evenly distributed, however over a short amount of time, the sand makes its way through the tiny gaps in the stitches until it reaches the edge. I looked back at the one star reviews and yep, that was the complaint, "Sand goes to the outside edges." How could their reviews be so high??? Then it dawned on me. There was a very professional looking index sized card in the box. It was a well written note requesting that if you had any problem at all to contact them and not Amazon. This way they lower their risk of truthful low star reviews.

After less than a month of light use (not even using it every night), the middle of the blanket has considerable loss of weights, and the edges of the blanket are loaded with weights. This is the biggest issue I've seen with negative reviews on weighted blankets, and I bought this one because I didn't see any reviews including that issue with this blanket. Well, consider this that review.

I absolutely LOVE my weighted blanket. At first I thought it was a little heavy (15lbs queen size) so I just covered it up to my hips but after a few minutes it felt awesome so I then decided to cover all the way up. The way I explain it to my friends and family...it is like the best snowy day, with your favorite flannel pj’s on, with a cup of hot chocolate, the fire going and your favorite cozy movie on. It is snuggly and amazing! I thought it might be too hot (I live in Florida and we are having hot weather) but it actually regulates my body temp. I have anxiety, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis so I was worried it might be too much for me but it calms me down instantly and doesn’t aggravate my fibro or RA. For older less active people (I still try to exercise when I can) I would recommend a 5-10 lb blanket, for men a 20 lb blanket. I love that it has a duvet cover so I can wash that when needed. It is by far the best investment I have made lately and recommend it to friends and family all the time. Love this product!

I have severe insomnia, I usually get 3 hours of sleep each night if I’m lucky. It makes me so miserable 😔 I have meditation apps, sleep masks, iv tried everything. I even bought a new mattress thinking it would help. NOTHING has worked for me 😭 UNTIL I purchased this blanket. I have been getting 8+ hours of sleep and my mood is so much better. I wake up feeling refreshed And ready for the day. My daughter is 3 and refuses to sleep under a blanket but she loves this one. So I’m going to get her a kids weighted blanket!! The cover is sooo soft I can’t say anything bad about this product. The quality is amazing. If you have sleep issues try this!

We spend thousands of dollars at Amazon on an annual basis for a variety of needs, gifts, entertainment and extras. And over the years of purchasing at Amazon, I don’t write reviews (eBay nags enough for feedback) reviews. However, in this instance I am loving this weighed blanket. It has significantly help my insomnia, it significantly helps regulate my body temper with to the night sweats and hot flashes. As a bonus our 13-year old Havanese named Lola absolutely loves the blanket.

I cannot tell you how much I love this blanket. My blanket has helps so much with my anxiety from the car accident I was in, it is super soft and very comfy! The weight is perfect and it's a decent length and with. I also love the colors! If I had to make one complaint it would simple be that it is very warm which can be a bit uncomfortable burning the summer because I live in Florida! In all this is a super great buy and I would definitely recommend it to anyone even if you don't have anxiety it's very soothing and calming like a hug!!
