I bought this to replace the ancient Salvation Army recliner (purchased for $50!) I have been sleeping in since 2015. I bought the used recliner after my husband was hit head on by a drunk and I needed to sleep next to his hospital bed for nearly a year after he came home. He was up and walking just fine right when my 97 year old mother moved in, so I still slept in the recliner just outside her room. The used recliner (no name, sadly) held up like a champ until a few months ago when the lever stopped working and one of the arms started to fall off. I spent a HUGE amount of time researching/trying out recliners locally and found NOTHING which was even remotely comfy to sleep in. I'm not a small woman and I have a VERY long torso, but these recliners seemed to be designed for REALLY tall men. When reclined, I could not even reach the arm rests! So...I found this online and most people complained that this was "too small" and "not comfy" for a "large person". I thought it sounded perfect. Well, It's still WAY too long in the torso for me, and when fully reclined, it's difficult to reach the armrests. That said, I have added pillows to both sides, a small round tube pillow for my lower back, and a larger pillow for under my knees and calves, and I can sleep on it. Sadly, I wake up every two hours and have to walk around and stretch to get back to sleep for another two hours. There is very little padding in the seat and leg rests, so I added a 3" tempurpedic topper cut down to fit the chair. It makes it bearable to sit in it and sleep for a few hours. What is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE is that even when my husband (not a small guy) stands behind the recliner and holds it, it is IMPOSSIBLE to close the damned thing. The recliner has sat in the fully "up" position since the first day. I tried lying it down on its back on the floor and pounding on it and it still will not close. Bottom line: This is garbage. The only reason I can't send it back is that I have nowhere else to sleep. I have made this barely acceptable because I just can't wait days or weeks to find a replacement. I need a place to sleep. When putting the side pieces on the back they are labors left and right Be sure to do left and right from standing in front of the chair and not as if you are sitting in the chair

I am 5'3" or 160 cm. My feet are hanging off the edge of this chair as I type this. The chair is comfy and is a little stiff (it was just delivered moments ago) but I like stiff furniture most of the time, as it feels more supportive. Putting the chair together was a cinch. There are two main parts - the base and the back rest - and they slot together with zero tools or other parts necessary. There are also two "ears" (which is an adorable AND apt description) that slot into the sides of the back rest. A little tricky to line up just right but I figured it out eventually. Anyway, as the tin says - not for the tall population of the world. I'm comfortable and well-seated, but the support of the recliner ends at my ankles. Both full feet hang off the end. I can probably wriggle around and get myself more on the seat at the top - I've got a small amount of room to spare - and give my heels a chance to rest on the end of the recliner, but that's it. ... show more

This recliner is a microfiber and not leather. It was easy to assemble has a nice button for extending the footrest, and seems sturdy. I did have to order a cover to protect it from my dogs. OK for the money, but don't know how long this will last.

The chair is comfortable and looks nice. But, just be aware that even when in the fully upright position the back of the chair is always at an incline, and I don't mean just a little bit. If you only use this chair to lay back and watch t.v. or take a nap you'll likely be quite happy with it. But the moment you want to sit a bit straighter to read a book or something like that, you'll probably become a bit frustrated. My solution is draping a pillow over the back to use as a headrest, but really that's just compensating for what i feel is a poor design. I guess that's the risk of purchasing furniture online without being able to try it out first, oh well... ... show more

I am 5' 9" and weight 300lbs I thought the price was a good deal which it was, but the chair is not a big chair like I thought it would be given the fact the add said the weight limit was 330lbs. If you are a smaller person and maybe not as wide as me LOL ๐Ÿ˜ the chair is definitely soft and the material quality is very good in my opinion just wish I could sit in it LOL Well the company that comes over loves the chair and I did need something extra for people to sit on. So I am keeping the chair and looking for a bigger one. ... show more

My old recliner popped a couple of rivets and the recliner part became unusable. So I went shopping and was shocked (SHOCKED I tell you) to see the high prices at furniture stores. So I hopped on here and found a vast array of choices. The Relax-A-Lounger caught my eye, and I took the chance. I was concerned that the low price meant low quality. But this is fine. It is very comfortable. I sat through a 4-hour movie and enjoyed it (both the chair and the movie). I don't need lush cushions, heated seat, a cup holder or USB power outlet. My old recliner also rocked, and this one doesn't, but I realized I didn't miss it. Assembly was easy, and I'm not good at putting things together. If you just want an inexpensive-but-not-bad-looking chair, I'd recommend this. ... show more

LOVE my chair! I needed a chair for myself, as the kids hog the couch. Something not too big and inexpensive. Iโ€™m 5โ€™2โ€, 120, and this chair is roomy enough for my bf who visits and is on the bigger side . This item had free delivery - even up my stairs in 2nd floor apartment! Most places wanted to charge 100$ for delivery!! It was in stock when I wanted itโ€” again- most places I went to nothing was in stock ( thank you covid delays) This came in a huge box, pretty light weight actually?l and the two pieces of the chair just snapped together.
