This coat is a very great and warm coat, I bought the red which turned out to be more of a pink-not a feminine pink but beautiful! The size i think in my case runs pretty true to size. It seems like quality zipper and material. Because most reviews said ran small I ordered 2 sizes for my son and kept the one I would have ordered without reviews. My friend saw it and bought the smaller size for her son and ordered another one for his wife. It is unisex in my opinion. I had actually thought I would keep the one she bought. The reason I didn’t keep it and my only complaint with it is: it’s VERY heavy and with my fibromyalgia I just didn’t think I could handle the weight. Otherwise it has everything you could want in a coat. 2 zipper chest pockets easy to get to, 2 way zipper, an inside pocket , plus a draw string in the waist, 2 pockets well placed to put your hands in or keep your gloves and scarf and a zip off nice hood. It even has two shoulder carry straps if you’re inside or too warm outside you can easily carry it and still have hands free! And it also has knit sweater like cuffs at the wrist that keeps it in place if you have short arms like my son has and wind out too makes for a very improved fit! I wound up ordering 5 all together and keeping 4. One reviewer mentioned the difficulty of getting back into the vacuum sealed bag as a deciding factor in keeping it rather than sending it back. This is really not a problem if you have a vacuum cleaner as it actually has the port just like the vacuum storage bags you can buy. We have already packed up the one we need to return. ... show more

Wow. I was set to be disappointed. I was doubtful that a parka like this for $50.00 could be any good but I figured have a look and send it back if it’s as bad as I expected. It turns out that it EXCEEDED my wildest expectations. It’s super warm. For me it’s true to size. I love the hand warming pockets and the two zippered chest pockets that would hold a phone and a wallet. The hood with the faux fit is a bit much but it’s really simple to remove. The coat is soft, comfortable and thick, perfect for a Texan who wanna play in the snow😂 Great value for the price if you order the right size. When you order clothes made in China, beware that their sizing tends to be smaller. If you typically wear XL, you might want to order 3XL. Always check the sizing chart if there is one. My only issue is that the coat came in vacuum compressed , which made it wrinkly. ... show more

    • Not what I expected

I was looking for a warm winter puffy jacket. I thought this would work and I liked the look and the price and generally popular review (was a Amazon pick). First I was surprised by the weight (4.9 lbs), next by the coat's bulk which is the result of its thickness. I am 5' 10' , 135 lbs and yet coat fits tightly on my arms and very tight when I left my arms upwards. This tightness probably helps with heat retention, but the coat fits very lose around the rest of my body. Switching to a medium size would help on waist but probably make arms so tight I could not move them easily. I am still trying to make up my mind if I will keep it. So far I have only tried it on once for a few minutes. I like the way it looks it is just weight and tightness of the arms I do not like. Update: decided to keep it based a a coldness test: it was by far the warmest of my existing jackets. The fact I could not fit it back in the box after taking it out of its vacuum bag (it came in and I accidently throw out) was also a factor. I ended up buying another coat that is very similar but weights just 2.2.lbs ( Columbia's Salzman down parka) which was on sale for $100 (I paid $85 after signing up as a Columbia Rewards member which gave me 15% of on my first order and free shipping). Its listed retail price was $290, both jackets look the similar and are of equal warmth (as far as I can tell). The down one I will wear in good weather and the other when wet weather is possible since it is synthetic installation and will keep its warmth even when wet while the down will not. ... show more
