My husband loves it when I leave him little notes, mostly tiny post-its I stick on his coffee maker (love you, be safe today, have fun on your ride, etc). These won't stick to his Keurig, but they stick so many other things and have made leaving him a note very fun. There are many things that look like metal they don't stick to because they are not the right kind of metal I guess, but there are lots of places to stick these very sturdy magnets and a note sticking out on a stick gets noticed - inside the medicine cabinet, on the side of the refrigerator, microwave, and toaster oven, sticking straight out of the front of the dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, file cabinet, and even our front door knob. Sticking straight out they get noticed. Very fun! I make lots of holiday cards and used these to hold paper leaves while I painted the edges then stuck them to the base to dry. Also when I added snow to paper pinecones. Before I found this set I held each item with tweezers while I added stuff and laid it down to dry while trying to keep the cat from laying on it. This set has also been very useful holding up swatches of paper and ink colors I'm using on my cards, as well as paper components I've put together (a witch, a pumpkin pie, a stitched ornament, a mini snow globe, etc). It's very easy to see the samples I've made standing up in front of me while I assemble the next card. The clips have held well, but still not dented any of my papers. The metal storage box lives on my desk and I have found it to be very sturdy, never tipped over or had any of the clips come loose. The clips on sticks are currently holding a list of food we will be bringing to Thanksgiving at my mom's house, ink swatches for trees going on my Christmas cards, and DMC labels from floss I need to buy more of. I usually keep 6 on it, 3 in the front row and 3 in the back row, and I love that I can rearrange my notes or card components by moving the sticks without unclipping anything. I am very happy with this set. My housemate paints minis and I am starting to get into it on top of my regular crafting as well. The magnets are very strong and don't fall over when the grip is holding a heavy object, and the grips hold snugly. In my photos, you can see a random assortment of things from my desk stuck into the grippers to test out their strength. I have pliers in one and a little bird made from eco-stone in another. The grippers held strong for all of my items and the magnets didn't topple. These are going to make painting so much easier and better. They'll also be useful for a variety of other crafts. I'm happy with them, and if they turn out to not be enough between the two painters here I would happily buy another set with my own money at the current $16 price tag. 5 stars ... show more

This simple little kit is a game changer for my painting set up. Pros: The magnets are good and strong The case is nice and compact The alligator grips are nice and tight The rubber protectors on the teeth prevent damage to your mini I tested these with my airbrush priming and everything stayed right where i put it, quick spin of the bases and i was done in half the time it usually takes.     • Good Idea - Even Better With Small Upgrade
This is actually a great idea! However, I found the tin that the clip sticks are stored in, not the idea surface to use as a base. I do airbrush and brush painting and I do not want the overspray to get all over the case. Also, the case does not have any rubber or non-skid feet, so it can slide quite easily (which is not always a good thing). However, I have a thicker piece of steel and it works phenomenally! You can do a quick little upgrade to the case by adding rubber feet to create a non-skid base. All-in-all, a nifty idea and quick setup solution for working on small models and/or projects! ... show more
