The media could not be loaded. I love these window blinds! They provide excellent light blocking and privacy, which is exactly what I needed. These black out blinds work as advertised. The material was easy to cut and I like that the kit came with measuring tape to make things easier. The 57" side was almost too short, but it just fit my window. It would be better if the 57" side was closer to 60" in order to better accommodate more window sizes. So, there is a tiny bit of light that you can see along the top and bottom edge, but it is not really an issue. The Velcro pieces can be cut into smaller pieces for a better fit if necessary. It sticks on to both the black out material and the window very well and allows you to attach and detach the whole setup with ease. Like other kits, the back out material has one black side, which faces inwards and one silver side, which faces outwards. So, that is one thing to take into consideration if you're concerning with having windows with silver material showing on the outside. However, as previously stated, the material can be taken down and put back up pretty easily because of the nifty Velcro system. All in all, this is a great product and it really does do a good job of shielding a room from light and temperature changes!

The size wasn't perfect. Didn't cover the whole window. Unfortunately, the price is also high compared to the quality. The cutter they provided didn't even work. Don't know why they put it there.

I decided it was time to replace the piece of cardboard covering my bathroom window, so I bought this blackout curtain. This is a sheet that's black on one side and silver on the other. It's really big. After I covered my bathroom window, I easily had enough for another window or two, depending on size. If you don’t have a big table, plan on cutting it on the floor. It's pretty wrinkled too from being folded for so long. Having someone to pull it taunt while you measure and cut helps a lot. As for the install process, the included measuring tape was nice for getting up in the window corners. The glue on the velcro is very strong. I wouldn't put it on something you want to keep the paint on. I put it on the aluminum border of my window at home. When I bring it to my mom's house, I'll attach the velcro to one of those 3M college dorm hooks. When hanging it, I found the best way was to hang it by the corners pulling as tight as you can. Then fill any light spots on the edges with the extra velcro. You might want to cut it a half inch bigger all around. This curtain works great! The material completely blocks all the light. And the silver side reflects some of the heat away. The velcro is really strong too. I like that I can just take it down and take it with me when I travel. Much better than the old piece of cardboard.

These black out blinds do the job. They are easy to measure, cut, and install. They attach with velcro to make taking them down easy but with the quality of the “blinds” I don’t think I’ll be able to do much of that before they’re ruined as they are super thin. I got this for a bay window in my living room so we can watch movies during the day without a ton of light bouncing off the tv and for a bit of privacy since we have sheer curtains. It does work but on the outside it looks like silver vinyl hanging in our window and is pretty sketchy/unsightly looking. This won’t be a work for a permanent solution due to that but is definitely ok for windows that don’t face the street or if you don’t care about what your house looks like from the outside.
