I bought this to replace a Victron unit that was 20 Amp. Although I never actually hit 20 Amps, the Victron unit was getting scorching hot...too hot to even touch. So it was worrying me even though it seemed to function as advertized. This unit is much physically larger, with a much larger heat sink, and stays reasonable temperatures (slightly warm). Of course it is also rated for double the amperage. My semi-portable home system never hits over ~350 watts, and this functions perfectly. It does not have the fine degree of parameter settings that Victron has, but as a practical matter, you don't need all those, and the standard Li setting is perfect for my LiFePo4 battery bank. So I am completely happy. Used it all summer in the 100+ degree Utah heat and it is still functioning perfectly. Totally happy with this.

I made the mistake of buying a cheaper 40 amp controller that wouldn't properly charge LiFePO4 batteries even after extensive painful and frustrating programming. Every night my system would die because the batteries weren't being charged correctly. This Redodo unit is superior in every way. It is beefier, especially in the cooling fin heat sinks. The unit is large (makes you wonder about the other company's amp rating) and It charges LiFePO4 batteries right out of the box. Another great feature is the built in bluetooth moniting. Wish I would have bought this one first.

The media could not be loaded. It's bigger than I thought which may help dissipate heat. Looks very beefy and sharp. Solid. So far it's working great. Would recommend this product, Fair price. Update: The controller started doing this lately after the sun goes down. Uploaded a video.

I wanted to increase the capacity of my travel trailer batteries. My goal was to be able to use battery power for overnight pit stops and possibly a little boondocking. I came across Redodo Power and was impressed with their high quality and reasonable price. I purchased 2 batteries and built my system. My battery system consists of (2)100ah Redodo Power Self-Heating batteries, 600 watts of Renogy Solar Panels, a 40 amp Redodo Power MPPT Solar Controller, and a 1500 watt Fit4Less pure sine inverter. I also upgraded my travel trailer power converter to accommodate LiFePo4 batteries. I've used my system for 5 weeks over the past 5 months. Redodo Power has not disappointed me. They have plenty of power to meet my needs. The self heating works great and the BMS works flawlessly. I even discovered that they have built in Bluetooth. I downloaded and Android app and can monitor the batteries in real time. Well done Redodo Power!

Manual is very clear. Accessories included in the kit is very helpful! Easy to set up, and work well - 2 weeks now! Bluetooth is very convenient for monitoring it's performance.
