I knew from Mike’s previous work that he was a compelling author on topics of life and pickleball, but I have always been able to resist the lure of the pickleball court and the pursuit of athletic glory, remaining steadfast in my belief that « sports are for other people », a view supported by two of my three children (there is always an outlier). I have had group and 1:1 lessons with Mike and he really knows his stuff and is able to explain in a very accessible way. His book is a fun tip packed read. The videos are really fun and helpful. Get this book as it is great to learn the basics and strategies.

As a senior player this book was instructive, well written, and humorous. Read it twice and my Pickleball game has improved as a result. Often in the middle of games I try to remind myself of some of the techniques and strategy Mike writes about. Enjoyed!

Mike has created a great book that blends a philosophy on living a joyous life with some great tips and how to improve your pickleball game and get more joy in playing. I love the video content which is an added bonus. Seeing the tips played out makes a huge difference in execution of the skill. As a super sr pickleball player, Mike’s great cues and coaching tips help compensate for limited mobility etc But if all else fails the attitude of do your best and have fun shines thru. Pickleballers laugh a lot.
