My husband and I recently moved in to our newly built home, and window coverings weren't part of the package deal. No matter, I new we needed to get these because my parents and friends have used them before. We bought the light filtering ones for downstairs and blackout for upstairs since that's where all our bedrooms are located. Six come in a pack and you also get 12 clips for lowering and clipping the accordion folds to the height you like to see outside. They are SUPER easy to install: measure your window frame, cut the blinds to the proper width, peal off the backing, and stick to the top of the frame. For cutting, the instructions say to use a sharp knife, but carefully snipping with scissors works too. In fact, that's what we used because we couldn't find our knives during the unpacking process! 😅 Light filtering in the color white was a good call for us. We get plenty of natural lighting, and the shades don't make the space too dark. Easy a 5/5. I highly recommend the blackout kind for when you first move. It really helps with preventing the anxiety around all the new sounds, and it makes your room perfectly dark like a cave. These are also great if you have a little one who struggles with daytime naps. My only deduction for the blackout shades is that I noticed tiny holes in the paper, which required using the excess trimmed bits to create patches. To be expected when trying to carefully each shade out of the compact rectangular box. 4.5/5 because patching up the holes was needed, but it was easy to do with the extra paper and Scotch tape. ... show more

It seems as though not all of the shades have glue with the same adhesive level. One or two shades from each of the two boxes that I ordered fell off the window frame soon after I carefully applied them. I made sure to press out all of the air bubbles,etc. So I just used transparent tape to bolster the shades which stubbornly fell down. Aside from that, the shades are a great alternative to drilling for and installing blinds! ... show more

They are paper shades that you manually adjust by gathering the pleats and holding them with clips. Further you hang with double-sided tape. For what they are, they work well, but don’t expect more than this. We needed some temporary window coverings and these suited the need. My only complaint is that even though I ordered them as a lot - all shipped from the manufacturer in one box - they are different lengths. Most are about the same length but a couple are much shorter and one so short it was not even close to the length ordered. Also, order longer than you think you need. I’m not 100% certain the impact of pleating the paper is accounted for in the manufacturers estimates of product length. I.e. 72 inches of paper pleated becomes 50’ish inches. ... show more

Well suited for my application, tall garage windows that don't open. I wanted light in but did not want garage contents to be seen from the outside. Once installed I won't be raising / lowering them. That is good because they are very flimsy construction. Be careful not to dent the folds when installing them because the dents are visible and hard to smooth out. For the money, these are great. I wouldn't recommend them for a window that will get a lot of opening and closing. ... show more

Ordered on Sunday arrived on Tuesday followed the video instructions from other people here on Amazon and voila!! Hung it right up. Now this is my bathroom and if for some reason it fails I do have five more to use and the width is only 16 inches so less than half of one blind so basically that’s 12 uses unless I mess up one. So I’m giving it a five star because it’s easy, works perfectly, and looks pretty good too. It is made of paper but, that’s really not a problem for me with this window. The adhesive doesn't work in a hot window. They fell down about 6 hrs after I installed them. However, they look clean, let enough light in & we're easy to install initially. I applied a good gooey sticky adhesive to them, supported them with a bracing system I created & let them rest overnight. They've managed to stay up for a week now. We're selling our house & I didn't want to spend a fortune so these are ideal. Only 4 stars because I had to make them a permanent window treatment. ... show more

Bought these shades for my new house and they went up so easy and look way better than temporary paper shades should. I have a couple other sets of these already which came with very nice plastic Clips to hold them up. This set however did not come with clips so not too thrilled about with that. We needed some temporary blinds for our home. Unfortunately the sticky tape did not hold so we had to use screws to secure the blinds. They look pretty good.
