My WFH is set up looking out of a window with an arch up top and at certain times of the day the sun just blazes in. Looked at custom blinds and all and could not justify the $100s to make that happen and stumbled on this and man--best $30 I ever spent. So simple. Directions are straight forward. Worked like a charm. This window brings in a ton of sunlight, which is wonderful, but it’s HOT. We needed a shade to help reduce the heat in the dining room and this one was perfect. Our arched window is pretty big, I wanna say between 68 or 70 inches long. We only had to cut the shade by a few inches to make it fit and install was easy. There were two of us to help set it up so it might be easier with a set of extra hands. The folds would sometimes look askew and crumpled after fanning it out but we found out that shaking it a few times and pinching the folds reverted them back to normal. Our windowsill even after a good clean isn’t the best surface to stick to. We were able to get the right side stuck down but the left was a bit harder. We kept the left unstuck so we can open and close the blinds when needed but I saw someone on here used Velcro command strips. The weight of the blind keeps the left side down naturally. Love it! This is cool stuff I liked it. I bought one first and bought three again after. It arrived with three individually packed blinds. Although the blinds itself can take the bad shipping, the plastic anchor cannot and they are broken as the picture shown. I need the two plastic anchors asap. Hope that you can pack them better to prevent further shipping damages. ... show more

I purchased this shade to cover my arched window. As you can see my window is not a typical arch. The sides of it are vertical and I'm not sure if the semicircle portion of the glass is perfectly round or oval. Anyway, I cut the shade according to the instructions and also had to improvise with trimming the sides of the arched shade to fit the vertical dimensions of the glass. Overall, I am pleased with the result. The exposed portions on each corner of the glass do not bother me and doesn't look detracting. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

I bought this for the half circle arch window in the front of my westerly facing home. I use that room as my work from home office, and the afternoon sun heats that room up quite a bit late in the day. This paper fabric shade is easily cut to size for perfect half circle arches. My window turned out to be not quite perfect, and is a little wider on the sides / shorter on the top of the arch. You can manually trace/trim the required shape out of the shade. In my case, I just trimmed the whole thing to the same size to fit the shortest part of the arch, and then spread the sides apart slightly in the plastic base. Most windows have 1/2" or more of frame that can hide some of these differences as well. Also, instead of adhering the bottom of the shade directly to my window frame/ledge, I adhered it to two thin strips of wood roughly the width of the plastic holder so that when in place, they fill the base of the window itself (think two wood paint stirrers, but maybe a little longer and maybe a little less wide.) This allows me to easily fold up and / or remove the shade altogether if I ever want to have full direct sunlight. I also have a cat who like to climb and she has messed up the shade in the past, so with this change I can easily take it down, fix the pleats and put it back up. I've had two of these (thanks to aforementioned cat,) and they don't appear to yellow or get appreciably brittle as I have seen in other cellular / paper shades. They do a good job of diffusing the direct sunlight, and while they don't prevent the room from warming up, they do keep it at least a little cooler, and provide a more even light through the window. ... show more

First of all the picture doesn't justify this fan shape arch covering! It's so cute! Just cut them to your size, tape the one side and open it up and you're done. We had to adjust the size a few time cuz our arch size is a bit irrigular. It blocks the heat but still have a good amount of light, exactly what I'm asking for! ... show more

I purchased my first set 16 years ago and they were starting to deteriorate badly from the sun but that is a long time! They are easy to use just follow the instructions always cut a tad bit longer you can always shorten if needed. Clean with alcohol the area you want to stick these and you are good to go for about 15 years. ... show more
