Purchase this headphone in 2021. In 2022 after 1 year of use I needed replacements for both ear pads. Now after 4 months I needed to replace 1 of the ear pads. Each failure resulted from a split along what appears to be a heat sealed seam of the material surrounding the foam pad. Sony classified these failures product damage and not covered by warranty. At $32 per pair of pads I've now spent $64 for repair of the headphones having an initial cost of $98. The next repair if needed send these to my Circular file. ... show more

    • Very good when they work
So I bought these for my dad who struggles to hear the tv. They worked great for about 3 days and then just stopped working. Like they didn’t charge and couldn’t connect anymore. So exchanged them for a new pair. They again worked great for about 3 days and then stopped again. They don’t seem to charge well. But when they are charged they work great! ... show more

    • These were obviously made for smaller ears, perhaps Asian?
I use these to enable hearing of quieter dialogue found in some TV movies, or to cancel more background noise so that I can actually hear all the dialogue. I have some hearing loss, so the volume control on the earphones is more than adequate if you turn it up. Control is touchy, so be careful you don't set it too loud and hurt your ears. I wish they had larger ear pads, because I can only wear them for a short while without starting to feel considerable discomfort. But better than missing important parts of the movie dialogue, which is often critical to the plot. I bought these "open box" so the cost was less, but function is okay and they charge nicely on the stand. Again, remember... small ears only. ... show more

    • Headphones for TV that do work
I have tried several headphones for TV for most of them work with Bluetooth and often have cuts, suddenly they are not paired anymore and other common bluetooth errors. But these are great headphones, they don't use bluetooth so no problems at all, works everytime and the sound is nice and clean.

    • For a premium brand, should be more comfortable
These go over the ear however the cupping isnt deep enough as your ear ends up pushing against the speaker and hurts after a while (20mins). Additionally, the headphones are heavy and dont stay balanced on top of your head if you lean back in a chair. Overall disappointed as I had bought these in place of a cheaper pair thinking the Sony's would be superior. I kind of miss the cheap ones now. sound wise the Sonys are decent and at least the volumes goes high enough such that i can hear clearly which was issue with previous set. ... show more

    • My mom loves these!
My mom is hard of hearing. She has warn headphones for many years. We have always liked Sony the best. One year she needed a new set and Sony did not have any available, so we purchased a different brand... just cant tell you how happy she is to have her Sonys back. The sound quality is much better, the charge is longer, the comfort, well she walks around the house with them on.. Lol. The last pair of Sonys she had, she wore out the ear cushions! Highly recommend these! ... show more
