I buy one of these every year for my mom at Christmas. I've never purchased one with the bulb coated in wax before so I wasn't sure if she'd like it but she loved it. She said it was blooming less than 2 weeks after she took it home. I haven't seen it but she says it's nice and she likes it.

    • Not as nice as others that I have had
This amaryllis was not inexpensive. It only grew one stalk, and that stalk did not grow very tall. I have had the red variety that grew taller, with 2 main stalks, each producing 4 huge flowers - and it was less expensive than this one.
