I embrace my natural hair, and after using this edge control, I classify it as a lightweight option. My approach to application was to try both light and heavy amounts of the product, but to my surprise, the results remained consistent regardless of the quantity used. Over the course of 4 different days, I conducted various tests, including 2 days with minimal sweat and 2 days filled with high humidity and heat. On those sweltering days, the edge control held up for about an hour, which is somewhat expected under such conditions. However, on the days with less perspiration, my edges managed to stay neatly in place for approximately 3 hours, which I found quite impressive for a lightweight product. As I continue to use it, I appreciate that it provides a light hold suitable for everyday styling. The fragrance is delightful without being overpowering, adding a pleasant touch to the experience. In terms of texture, it feels very much like a typical edge control—sticky yet smooth—while also imparting a subtle shine to my edges. Overall, it has proven to be a reliable addition to my hair care routine.

YES!! Love this gel so much, I wish I got a bigger tub. I like that it’s clear, it works really well and doesn’t leave flakes behind. Smells fine not really a specific scent. Gives the hair a nice shine to it, very light weight I’d say. Feels solid, doesn’t make my fingers feel sticky, more like a moisturizing feel.

I applied this edge control and 45 minutes later my edges were lifted! It didn’t hold long at all! I wasn’t sweating or doing anything strenuous, just going about normal daily activities. It looks like a thicker clear gelatin with a smooth texture. It does have a stickiness to it but that’s to be expected with edge control. It looks cute overall with the color of the container but the quality isn’t good!

Kiss Edge Fixer Extreme Hold is exactly that, EXTREME HOLD! Priced at 5 dollars you will recieve a VERY teeny tiny tub of gel. Good for on the go and fit easily in you bag/purse. The scent seems to be Peony but isn't overly scented. The hold is ALL DAY! Your edges aren't moving! Worth the price and I'd buy again.

I'm not exactly sure what "extreme hold" means to Red by Kiss Edge Fixer, but I can tell you that it didn't exactly "fix" my edges for long. I mean, it held some, but not a lot - more like a gentle suggestion that my hair should maybe, possibly stay in place. And don't even get me started on the heat - it's been in the 80s and 90s in California, and this stuff can barely make it to lunchtime without losing its grip. And then there's the white casting issue. I'm guessing it's because you have to use so much of the product to get it to work that it's just a bit... overzealous. But hey, at least it's not flaking or leaving an oily residue, right? On the bright side, the peony scent is basically non-existent, which is great if you're like me and have a sensitive nose. And I suppose it's kind of impressive that it managed to not completely ruin my hair, even if it didn't exactly do what it promised. All in all, I'd say stick with the proven salon brands - they're worth the extra cash, trust me. This one's just a fun experiment, and not exactly the best use of your time or money. But hey, if you're feeling adventurous and want to give it a shot, go for it! Just don't say I didn't warn you.

This really has a nice holding ability, but most impressively is how it smells, it smells absolutely amazing I was very impressed once I tried it out how good it smelled, regardless my hair holds in place and looks well positioned after so it works well without making a word texture or being too noticeable in my hair
