I am a black man with a thick curly beard and this straightener is perfect. It does a great job of getting my beard to the lengthy straighter curly look that I need. I just put it on the 400 setting, and it is good. It doesn't burn me either. I put some oil on my beard afterward and use a wood comb. I love this thing.

Have purchased other straighteners and this one rises above. Heats quickly. Straightens the beard in record time. Also, cools quickly when finished with use so it can be stored away

It works like it should work. You have to be careful when using it. It is easy to hit the power button and turn up the heat to a hotter setting. Other than that it's a good product for the value. I would recommend it to others.

I purchased this for my husband to comb his beard however, it is perfect to touch up any hair as well. I have used it when I am in a hurry and want to run the equivalent of a flat iron through my hair. I just wish I purchased one that heats up more so this was my only setback. I wish it had a stronger heating capacity level.

I was recommended this item by my hair stylist for my hair. It took too long to heat up and the heat ended up making my hair wire-y. I think this product would be better with a little bit of airflow.
