H-burner kit came with everything I needed. The C-clamp is a safety feature for indoor fireplaces with dampers which wasn’t needed for my damperless outdoor fireplace. The burner puts out a fair amount of heat once the logs heat up and start radiating. The flame pattern is very natural and the gas hiss is noticeable only with the gas cranked all the way up as in the video attached. Outstanding value ***** I repaired my 31 year old gas log fireplace in 20 minutes and most of that time was cleanup. A new flex hose and all fittings+ were included. Even had teflon tape for connection sealing. The fire flame distribution is far better than my original installation.

Now. I’m gonna start this by saying I have no idea if this is the intended use of this particular item, but this is the what I did. I ran 1/2 propane LPG rated hose, underground to a 20 pound tank-from about 20 feet away from my fire pit. On the end of that 1/2 inch rubber hose that goes under ground, I used steel braid wrapped rubber LPG rated hose. Then, I stuck a 36 inch, 1/2 inch propane rated pipe. Next came a 90 degree angle, a 2 inch nipple, another 90 degree angle, then the male end of this propane burner. I ran everything but the burner underground 3 inches with a garden trencher and some digging. The 2-90 degree angles and the nipple, bring the piping back up to ground level. So the burner rests flat on the ground. I then filled the pit with volcano rock and presto! I don’t need to mess with fire starters. I can also keep the gas burning to have a perfect fire no matter how damp the wood is. Bigger flame? More gas. Bingo-Bango. I just turn the gas off when the wood catches. Just clean out the ashes whenever you use it. The only thing I can do to make it better is to install and in-ground, 1/2 inch-1/4 turn gas valve in the ground near the fire for easier lighting. I could also use a piece of 1.5 inch-90 degree electrical underground conduit to take the rubber LPG hose underground to protect it from weed eating. Of course I safely called Miss Utility to make sure there were no existing utility lines underground and marked my gas line. ... show more

Americangaslogs Rectangular Gas Fire Pit and Gas Fireplace H-Burner H Burner has turned out to be the best upgrade I made to my ancient firebox. Instillation was pretty straight forward. My only problem was how high off the firebox floor I wanted. Trial and error answered my questions. I really needed to decrease the space between the burner and the log rack. Easy to fix though, lift the burner, add more sand and readjust. Burns great, excellent heat into my family room and it looks so much better. You will still need the other fire rock and ember fluff, but with a little touch here and there You will have a good-looking fire. ... show more
