Does this unit automatically shut off and on for both a/c and heat? Although it didn't say it was a heat pump, I'm assuming it's just a regular a/c heater combo that is remote controlled? If this unit doesn't automatically shut off and on with a temperature sensor built in, please tell me if you have a unit with these features. If not, which other brand has that feature? It does a poor job of cooling. Takes all day to cool down the room(7’x14’). The worst part it raises the humidity faster than it cools. Did I mention the blower motor never cuts off. I’m so disappointed. I order it, it arrived and the return window closed before I could install it. I now have a $1500 piece of crap on my cargo trailer. Do Not Buy!!!! ... show more

This air conditioner is great! I replaced my Dometic Penguin 9,000 BTU . The RecPro is some much quieter, colder and draws less amps. Only draws 10 apms versis the Domestic's 13 amps. Super easy to install.
