  • Nice record player turntable with speakers that was easy to setup and use.
For a while now my friends have been trying to convince me to get into vinyl. I had records years ago (yep, I'm that old!) but never really thought about purchasing them again. A friend gave me 2 discs this past Christmas but I had no way to really play them. I came across this Record Player for Vinyl with Speakers, Bluetooth Turntable with 36W HiFi Stereo Speakers, Wood Vinyl Player with Magnetic Cartridge & Adjustable Counter Weight and Anti-Skating Weight, CA Output from FEKTIK and I decided to request it for myself. After opening up the package and removing all the items I saw that it also comes with speakers which is a nice bonus. I like how the turntable looks very well-made and durable. I like how they included a quick start guide so I was able to get this record player setup and working in about 15 minutes. I like how it comes with everything you need to start playing records. I like that it has a bluetooth feature though it wasn't what I was hoping it would be. I wanted to bluetooth this record player to my soundbar but unfortunately the bluetooth only allows you to connect other media devices, like your cell phone, to the player to play through its speakers or what every audio device you have hooked up. I did order an optical audio cable as the record player as an optical output so I will be able to connect it to my soundbar which makes me very happy. Overall, after playing the few records I have I'm pretty impressed with the quality and design of this record player and how great it sounds. Without a doubt it's a great starter turntable for someone like me who is just getting back into vinyl. 5 out of 5 stars. ... show more

  • Probably the best turntable at this price point
I am a vinyl collector, lover, and proponent. There is nothing better than sliding a vintage album out of the sleeve and placing it on the turntable for a spin. I love listening on vinyl whenever I can. I have a high-end turntable hooked up to my vintage rig, but I often listen to records in other rooms of my house. I have had to explain to my wife that I need record players in multiple rooms, and she has obliged. This Fektik record player with speakers fits perfectly in our kitchen and satisfies my need for music while I cook. There are several price points for turntables. Everything from all-in-one machines to mid-range, to high-end. This turntable sits nicely at the low end of the mid-range price point AND includes speakers. I have been down this road before and was disappointed by the options. This turntable changes everything. Out of the box, I can tell there is a difference in quality. The solid wood plinth is a great start. The platter comes separate, and you have to remove the belt to remove a piece of styrofoam. Once removed, the belt is easily re-installed, then the platter, then the slip mat. Plug in the included speakers, and you are almost ready to go. I will say that I had to completely tighten the adjustable counterweight to make the tonearm drop correctly. In my opinion, there is really not much adjustability. An adjustable tonearm/counterweight is rare at this price point, so the fact that it drops correctly at the maximum adjustment is fine. The included Audio Techinca AT-3600L cartridge is a bonus. Many of the turntables in this price range rely on the less than acceptable red cartridges. The built-in preamp is great. The speakers can handle the volume, and it can get loud. I cannot comment on the line-out, but I imagine there would be no problem connecting this turntable to your receiver or external preamp. The Bluetooth function is easy and works well. AS soon as you put the turntable in Bluetooth mode, you will see "turntable" available in your phones Bluetooth connections. The connection is stable, and high quality. Music was easily streamed from several different sources. I can highly recommend this turntable and speakers for anyone looking in this price point or above. I would definitely consider buying another one. ... show more

  • Pretty classy looking
This record player looks really cool with its old-school wooden design. Setting it up was super easy too. The sound? Surprisingly good! It's not the fanciest setup, but it sounds decent. The speakers are okay, but they could be better with the highs and lows. The Bluetooth feature is awesome though. It's really easy to connect to my phone and play music. The only downside is that it makes this annoying high-pitched noise when you switch to Bluetooth. Kind of irritating, but not a big deal. Using it is a piece of cake. The controls are simple, and setting it up was a breeze. The only tricky part was adjusting the counterweight, but once I figured it out, it was smooth sailing. Overall, if you're into vinyl and want something affordable, this record player is a good choice. It's not the fanciest one out there, but it gets the job done and looks cool too. ... show more

  • A compact option for listening to vinyl
I have a collection of old vinyl records that I listen to on some fairly high-end equipment. Our 16yo has decided that she like vinyl, too, and I'd prefer that she and her friends not use my system. I found this turntable and speaker system and thought it would be perfect for her to use. It's very easy to setup - just take it out of the box and plug in the power cord and speakers. It looks nice and the sound quality is decent, being about what I expected for the price. The turntable feels well-made and is easy to operate. It does come with a basic Audio-Tecnica needle cartridge which works well. The built-in amplifier and speakers do a great job with middle-band frequencies, but as with any equipment at this price point, highs and lows suffer a bit. Overall, the sound is acceptable for casual listening, and you still hear every pop and snap of that old vinyl. It's definitely a great system for a teen. The Bluetooth feature is a bit puzzling. Instead of being able to use it to output audio to another Bluetooth device, such as a sound bar or A/V receiver, it's input-only. That means you can listen to other Bluetooth sources, but if you want to use a better speaker/amp system, it has to be hardwired from the turntable. That's a minor issue, though, and does not keep me from recommending this turntable system. ... show more
