The manufacturers of this turntable have managed to do a great job at blending the old with the new in this incarnation of a modern turntable. It is a solidly-built device whose design aesthetic is reminiscent of a studio guitar amplifier and will look great in any modern setting while reminding you that a fusion between the old and the new can also sound fantastic as well! Everything about the build and sound of this vinyl+BT record player with built-in amplifier and speakers exudes quality in materials and care in design and execution. The Bluetooth connects to any device instantaneously, turning this record player into an elegant, incognito Bluetooth speaker that will readily connect to any source device instantly and it sounds fantastic. I haven't had the opportunity to test the vinyl record-playing capabilities yet since I don't own any vinyl records, but the platter seems to be made of solid machined aluminum, extremely flat and perfectly round. It will spin freely for an extremely long time if you give it a spin by hand, indicating to me that the bearings are of high quality, eliminating friction-induced wow and flutter. It can play any vinyl record available at any of the common pre-set speeds 45/33 RPM. I have never used a vinyl record player before, so I can't speak for some of features that you might find in fancier record players (like maybe fully variable speed adjustments for fine-tuning the speed of the platter using a measurement instrument). I also cannot speak to the quality of the magnetic cartridge, needle, tonearm, but they seem decent enough to me. What I think is most important (at least in my use case and for the particular target user for a device of this type at this price point) is that the amplifier is very good and the speakers/enclosure sound amazing. Music can be played back quite loud and the amplifier supplies all the power needed without breaking a sweat (i.e., effortlessly). For anyone interested in exploring audiophile-level performance, note that this player DOES have phono-level (low-level) outputs, but this fact may not be obvious at first glance since both the Line-Level and Phono Level (i.e. Aux) outputs are routed through the same RCA connectors. A small slide switch on the connections plate at the back of the player allows you to select one level or the other using the switch. This is a bit of a workaround, and probably isn't the most optimal solution to getting a quality low-level signal out of the device, but at this price point, I'm sure it should do just fine. One thing they cheaped-out on is not using gold-plated RCA connectors. Not necessarily because they provide some indistinguishable improvement to sound quality, but mostly for corrosion prevention. Ah well. You get what you pay for, and at this price point, we have visual proof of some of the cost-cutting (including the cheap slide switch and backplate). In conclusion, and despite some of the understandable cost-cutting compromises, I am very happy with the utility, convenience and nostalgic novelty that this player brings to my home and would recommend this particular unit to anyone who is looking for a similar experience as me. P.S. I do realize that I have the tonearm counterweight on the platter - NOT where it should be. I had just unboxed the player and set it there for convenience. ... show more

There has been a recent resurgence of vinyl with some of the older artists such as Abba and Barbra Streisand releasing vinyl records. This is a complete system with the speakers built in! It even has Bluetooth. So if you want to stream music from your phone, you can stream it into the speakers on this unit. The speed and stability of the turntable is good as I did not notice any imperfections in the sound as records played. This would especially be good for an elderly person who is very fond of their old records and they would know instantly how to use this. A lot of the older records are not available on CD and some of the older people are very attached to that music. This comes in two colors with one being a classic black and the other one being a walnut brown. I got the classic black but I really wish I had gotten the Walnut brown. This all in one record player works well. It connects to bluetooth as well so you can play music through it from your phone. I honestly didn't have high hopes for the sounds quality, since usually things like this sound pretty bad, but I was pleasantly surprised. The sound quality is pretty full if a little lacking on the low end, but there's only so much you can do with small speakers. But it does have RCA jacks to connect it into your home stereo. I had to buy myself a couple records to test it out, so I got the Doors and Led Zeppelin II. The sound quality was good playing the records as well, and at first I thought there might be noise coming from the needle, but it turned out it was just the Doors record. The Zeppelin record sounds great. Overall, I this this is great for a casual record listener (let's be honest, streaming is just more convenient) and the built in speaker is good for a small room, or a dorm or apartment. Being a little older (before era of CD's) I still have lots of vinyl and with the resurgence of it couldn't pass this up. I have an Audio Technics cheap turntable that I used a few times, but is cheap and no counterweight arm either. This is also a non-automatic turntable. The directions are clear and easy to read. You do have to go to the back page though to get the stylus weighting as it just drops it in the install/setup instructions. Overall sound is great from it and with this nicer stylus and belt setup it will treat your vinyl well. Also, the built in speakers are loud! You can even play them while using your stereo out too. Since this is amplified it is a little taller than some, but that's just space. I would like hinges that have a constant hold to them rather than two position hold as this is installed on a shelf and can't open the top all the way, but that is my problem.
