This is a really nice CD player. I wound up getting some different headphones to use with it but otherwise it's ready to go out of the box and even comes with a little travel case and wrist strap. I like that it has a speaker as well as the headphone option--it makes the player very versatile. It plays burned CDs and store bought and has a decent battery life per charge and can be charged easily with a portable charger or USBc cord. Be warned it will not charge with the higher watt (20w) wall cord I use for my phone and tablet. I have to use a portable charger or the lower power cord that came with my mom's flip phone. The buttons are easy to read and clear. The display is a little dark and hard to read if you have lower vision (my mom) but otherwise works very well and a good value.

The media could not be loaded. I didn't quite know what to expect from this CD player, but I am pleasantly surprised. Over the summer we picked up a stack of CDs but only one of our cars has a CD player and my son has the only physical CD player in his room...So...My CDs have just kind of sat on a shelf. Was going to get myself something for Christmas, but decided to just go for it. The Great: Portability - Has a nylon strap and is nice and small. Also has a decent felted case to hold it. Can take it everywhere. Bluetooth - SWEET. Also can be used as a Bluetooth speaker. I've used it with my phone and with an MP3 player. No issues on connectivity. USB - Can load a bunch of MP3 files onto a USB stick for playback. Works really well. Nice feature to have, especially since my car can't read more than a 4GB stick. I've used this with 32GB with no problem. AUX - Connect devices that don't do BT for playback. Nice option to have, and it comes with a cable to use. The OK: Battery Life - carting this around with me for a week. After the initial charge, I've not had to plug it in yet. Probably four or five hours of use as a BT speaker and CD player per day. Right now it shows one bar left on the battery...So...About 16 to 20hrs per charge, I estimate. Not as good as a dedicated BT speaker, but it is okay for a portable device with all these other features. Pairing - Can pair with other speakers or BT headphones. It's not very intuitive and takes a few tries. It does work, though! I was NOT able to pair with my car, though. The Meh: Volume. It doesn't get loud. Enough for an office or to listen to on a walk. Don't expect house filling sound from this little guy. Luckily you can pair this to other speakers or output with the AUX cable to another setup. Earbuds. Comes with mediocre wired earbuds. They're nothing special. In a pinch, they're useful, but these will go in the drawer with all the other wired earbuds I've been collecting since the late 90's. Haha

I bough this because we were going on a long trip in the truck GMC 2020 and it did not have a CD player. I also got a small SONIX bluetooth speaker and it paired with it very well. The speaker on the CD alone is OK but not strong. It beats listening to the radio with a million ads between songs. I love my CD's. This was a great option. I have had it for a month....so don't know how long it will last, but its worth buying instead of having to download more stuff on my phone.

Overall it is a nice little CD player for car use. I listen to audiobooks and new cars don't have CD players so I picked this up. As mentioned in some of the other reviews it is a little awkward to change out the CDs while driving in a car because they load from the bottom of the player. But that is somewhat minor. I couldn't get the bluetooth function to work with my car but I'm not sure if that is my car's fault or the CD players. But my biggest problem is that the headphone jack stopped functioning less then 6 months after I purchased this. It worked fine initially but as time went on it began to put out loud static if the CD player was moved at all during playing. This got worse and worse until it is pretty much unusable now. I've tried a number of different audio cables (new ones) and that didn't help. Seems to be just poor build quality.

Yes, this CD player is pricey. But understand it does NOT live up to its description. Cons: 1.) the charging cord is crap. You will need to buy a replacement. This cord will not stay in the plug and is only about 15” long...at least mine is. 2.) it will NOT connect with my Bluetooth EarPods nor my car’s Bluetooth. 3.) If you listen with wired headphones, know that there is a serious and nonstop hum. However, I do not hear this annoying hum if I listen with the built in speaker; so, I only listen via the speaker. Neutral: 1.) The provided wired headphones are okay, but I use my Apple ones instead. 2.) The attached strap is pointless. Pros: 1.) Comes with a felted storage bag. Nice to have when using it in the car. 2.) It’s shipped in a well designed box, but mine was damaged in its corner. I thought no big deal. The contents were so I recycled the box before I discovered the above con issues. (Lesson learned, btw.) If I still had the box, I would have exchanged this player for another one to see it the con issues persisted. But I can’t. So I’m stuck but can make you aware of this high priced cd player’s issues. If you you are just going to listen to books using its speaker, the sound will be fine—not wonderful, which is what I would want for music.
