  • DVD PLAYER
This is a exceptional DVD player. Great picture and the sound is good for a small player.

  • Pretty nice and easily to operate.
I was surprised how well it works. It was for my grand daughter and she likes it but she would be happier with a larger display. But I find the display a pretty decent size. It’s supposed to be compact and easy to carry around and It does everything a bigger one can do.

  • Nice, but not what I thought, my error!
Nice, but won't play local tv channels like I had thought, had to return to order different item.

  • Very Nice
I am enjoying this new DVD player very much. My most recent laptop did not come with a built-in DVD or CD player. I used to use it all the time. I selected this player because I could not resist the size of the screen and the low price for a player like this. Many have complained about the volume, and I see what they mean. It does not go up super loud, but you can hear it well if you don't use headphones. And if you do use headphones, make sure they are plugged into the player all the way. It is extremely easy to set up and use. It is very easy to select certain episodes. When you pause it, you just click a button. If you are away from the player with it paused for longer than you planned, a screensaver automatically comes up, so the image doesn't burn on the screen. I love its ability to pivot in different positions. The picture quality I think depends on the quality on the dvd, but I do notice that at least for the dvds I have played so far, the picture quality is good but is not crystal clear like you would get on a tv. I consider myself lucky to have found this product. I didn't know anyone made them with this great, most-enjoyed screen size. I recommend this product. ... show more

  • Good buy!
We bought this DVD player to help keep our kids entertained on a road trip and we were very pleased with the purchase! The screen is a great size for all the kids to be able to see in our van with 3rd row seating. The sound isn't super loud, which was a little difficult to hear in the car, but we were able to use an AUX cable to hook it to our vehicles sounds system & that worked PERFECT! It also came with a car charger for continuous use on our trip. The only real downside I think was that it looks like a laptop, which I think is what motivated someone to steal it while we were in Vegas 😥 we were upset we got such a short amount of use out if it, but are seriously considering purchasing a second one for future trips! ... show more

  • Died After 3 Days
July 2021 Update: I am shocked to see this product still being sold! The manufacturer contacted me multiple times after my review below posted, each time offering me a larger sum of money in exchange for deleting my review. I repeatedly replied that all I wanted was a product that worked. My review was entirely factual to my experience, and I kept asking them to stop contacting me and trying to buy me off. I can't be bribed. Offering money to alter or post reviews is a violation of Amazon's rules and grounds for immediate banning from the site. I reported the violation to Amazon, yet here they are still selling this product. Hopefully they used my feedback to produce a better product. My story ends well as I came across a Panasonic player at Walmart that was well made, about $25 cheaper, and my Mom has been happily using it for the last two months. * * * * * * * * * * This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my Mom, a senior citizen. I thought I had done my research. What drew me to it was the large simple buttons on the player itself. I felt it would be easy for someone with arthritis and sight issues to use. Before making my purchase decision, I crosschecked reviews on senior consumer websites and they agreed the Wonnie was a good fit for people 65+. And it was!!...for a total of three days. It was much lighter than I expected it to be, but I felt that was a positive for my Mom. I showed her how the screen could rotate and be folded into more of a tablet if she wanted, but cautioned her to gently rotate the screen as it did seem a bit flimsy. As others have said, that puts the speakers on the back side of the unit. But the volume can be turned up higher to compensate (although others have complained about the audio quality/volume). I first installed a DVD from the 1980s and it looked horrible on the screen and sounded bad as well. A 2005 movie looked better, although I agree with other reviews that the screen is quite dark. I could not find a way to adjust the brightness. Very bad design flaw, you'd think this would be standard on all players. My Mom quickly understood how to use the player and happily used it to watch a couple movies. She really was loving her new gift until day 4, when it would not turn on no matter what she did. She called to let me know, "Wonnie died." She was sure she had forgotten something I had told her. She had not. Unbelievable that after only three days, Wonnie would no longer turn on! We did the troubleshooting and tried using the remote's buttons based on another's review that said DVDs and CDs only worked with the remote control. Decided maybe it was the power cord. It also came with a car charger, so I decided to give that a try. Much to my surprise, Wonnie came to life again when I plugged the car charger cord into it. Much to my dismay a nasty chemical/electrical smell filled my car. I did put a DVD in and it played, but there is not much doubt that Wonnie has major electrical/battery issues. The information on page 3 of the manual under "Maintenance and Long-Term Use" is telling. The second item says "If the battery begins to leak fluids, discharge acid buildup around the terminal, or gives off a smell, please dispose of the battery immediately following proper safety measures." Of course right after that the instructions say: "NOTE: The built-in high capacity rechargeable batteries must only be removed or replaced by a professional. Do not attempt to do yourself." See my photo #3. I am returning this product. I don't feel it is safely made, but more importantly the screen's darkness will be a problem for my Mom in the future. Sadly I have not really been able to find a UL rated portable DVD player or even a recognizable name brand one. Every one I have researched on Amazon seem to share many of the same problems as the Wonnie. Some even appear to be the Wonnie with just a different name on it. Consider yourself warned. ... show more

  • On task learning aide
Arrived quickly and the packaging was solid. The plastic packing case is a definite bonus to protect from dust while stored. There are clear instructions for customer service if you have any issues. So, I purchased this DVD player for my kiddo who has figured out how to access any browser on his computer. Yeah, yeah, I know how to lock everything but then I have to unlock for others sharing and so forth and so on...During remote learning, my youngest will have this DVD player for one purpose-only: offline learning using educational DVDs. Yes, use his “school”laptop for online classes. Live homework with mom or tutor. Review or prep content (as needed) with the DVD player. If earns it, time on his “fun” laptop for those apps and games. Second use of our new DVD player for our family will be watching the huge drawer of DVD’s that I was just about to throw out due to hubby’s nagging until the pandemic hit. Last but not least, our cable and WiFi tends to go down during snowstorms. Now, I CAN’T WAIT for the next huge winter blaster to watch my DVD collection of The Matrix movies with no interruption. Power outage? Kids, plug in the DVD player to the portable battery and get cozy. Let it snow! About the player, it’s got the swivel screen! Cool! Leave it on a table and sit where you like. The sound and the picture are great and I can’t tell you how convenient it will be to have a remote. Easy peasy! My other kids STILL think I bought myself a new laptop due to size of the device, haha. More updates once we start using it regularly-remote learning starts next week! ... show more
