This motion detect light is perfect for my front porch. It is very bright and quality built (a bit heavy) but the motion sensing works very well. The controls are intuitive. I would mount it in place of the current outdoor ceiling light because the motion-sensing allows it to come on only when someone approaches the door at night. This way I can avoid attracting all the bugs in the summer time. The only thing to be aware is that the mounting plate is a lot smaller than the light so it cannot be mounted onto an existing E26 socket area. I'm using this light as a supplemental light source above a desk, mounted under a shelf, in my office. I like all the features and adjustability, including 3 different lighting colors, length of time motion sensor is activated (12 or 30 secs) and use of motion sensor and light sensor together vs. just motion sensing. A very good ceiling light. It can be installed on a ceiling or not. I'm using this in my garage and I just prop it up against the wall. It turns on when it recognizes any motion , and can be configured to turn off after 30 or 120 seconds.

The media could not be loaded. I didn’t know what to expect when getting it but I’m pleasantly surprised. This will be perfect for our closet pantry which can be pretty dark.
