Quick report on the AAA lithium battery

This is going to be a quick and dirty review on these rechargeable AAA lithium batteries. I really think the days of the metal hydride batteries are limited I do believe these rechargeable lithium batteries will take over eventually. The only thing I've used these batteries for so far are and some clocks around the house and a green laser pointer that I used to play with the cats. Also I use a ebl lithium battery charger to charge these batteries works great. So far so good not one bad battery they all work fine.

Solution to the miserable NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) batteries which do not charge above 1.3v

Very happy with the charger and batteries so far. I had been buying the NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) types before and found the fact that they do NOT provide 1.5 volts fully charged. More like around 1.3 volts. This has been very annoying because when used with various flashlights the lights are never bright, and the batteries don't last long because they start out too far under voltage. I got fed up and decided to try Lithium batteries which charge to full voltage and a little bit more - 1.6 volts.

Maybe I’m missing something here but why would you ever buy disposable batteries ever again? I’ll have to see how they do in the long run but they are working great so far and wish I would have invested in these sooner! UPDATE: Well it was too good to be true, the charge only last about 10% of what a normal battery does. I put some in a sensor that normal batteries last a few months, these lasted a week. So it would be good for something that you constantly cycle through, like our daughters video game controllers but wouldn’t use for anything long term unless you want to be cycling them out all the time. Still useful unless they degrade quickly.

Fast charging and long battery live

These AAA's need a specific type of charger

Purchased these for my Tenergy TN456 multiple chemistry Charger that includes Lithium. The batteries will not charge. Researching on Gemini indicates they come with micro-circuit that causes the battery not to be recognized by this charger. This would have been extremely helpful prior to purchase as I apparently need to buy a dedicated AAA Lithium charger for them.
