  • Great Rechargeable Batteries !
Size: Mini Charger+2AA
Thus far, these batteries have been great! I have used many rechargeable batteries and have never been very impressed. But with these, they change quickly, have long run times with lots of power. Great product and I will certainly purchase again, when needed!!!

They don't come with a charging case unlike what the AI tells you. Great product otherwise

  • Capacity misleading...2400 mAh for normal comparison
Size: Only 4AA Battery 3600mWh
These MUPOER Rechargeable Lithium AA batteries are my first set of 1.5 volt Lithium cells. I have several years experience with the Lithium chemistry in the 280-300 Ah 3.2 volt prism style cells. Built several battery banks for off-grid and RV solutions. These cells perform as Lithium is expected...delivering 1.5v through a very long, flat discharge curve then shut down. There is little if any fade in voltage over the discharge cycle and once capacity drops off they stop delivering power. Not sure why the manufacturer listed capacity in mWh instead of mAh like all other AA cells regardless of chemistry. It appears at first glance that these cells have "more" capacity than other cells...but quick math proves different. VxA=W so A=W÷V filling in numbers 3600mWh ÷ 1.5v is 2400mAh. This is comparable to most other AA cells of any chemistry. In my testing they last longer than my ni-MH cells of 2400 mAh capacity but this is due to flat 1.5v discharge curve more than capacity. Lithium also allows for a deeper discharge than the other chemistries. Enough technical...real world you will experience full "power" through the entire charge capacity of the battery. My toddlers have several track cars that take one or two AA cells and the Lithium cells out perform all other chemistries hands down. I don't hear the complaints that they are slowing down or dying as much as I did with alkaline or ni-CAD/MH cells. Decent price if can catch special or purchase in larger quantities. Early into use but should also last through many more charge cycles than other chemistries. If you can overlook and understand the questionable capacity marketing these are Keepers! ... show more

  • They Are Different
Size: Box Charger+4AA
Lithium ion batteries are different than other batteries. First, the native voltage is about 3.7V per cell. Traditional carbon-zinc are about 1.5V, alkaline about 1.65V, NiCd and NiMH are 1.2V. That means that there has to be support circuitry internal to the cell to regulate it down to 1.5. Second, they behave more like gas in a tank, in that they deliver full or nearly full power until depleted, but require monitoring to prevent damage from being overly discharged. Also, they're rated in mWh rather than mAh, (delivered total power versus delivered current) but that's more of a marketing decision than technical. That makes them a little less functional than traditional ones. That's ANY Li-Ion cells that are to used replace traditional cells, not just these. I brought these to work to test them. I don't have a setup specifically designed for testing cells like these, but a tester that I built for a product that we used to build could have been pressed into service easily enough. When it was finally delivered back to me from the storage facility, it was broken. 😣 So, I just used regular test leads and a dummy load. I made sure that they were fully charged, but they had to sit for two weeks before testing. What I found was that open circuit, all four read just a hair over 1.51V, or within 1% of the nominal voltage. Using a 5Ω resistor as a load, (with cable losses, etc. the load was almost exactly 250mA,) all four measured 1.50V, the tiny drop probably from the less than perfect contact with the test leads and insignificant either way. They're rated to deliver 350mA; not to be confused with the 3600mWh battery life rating, (more in a minute) and when I held the 250mA load on one for two minutes, nothing felt warm to the touch. (The load resistor did, and since it's a 50W resistor on a heatsink, that's quite an accomplishment.) I can't really test battery life, unfortunately. After testing, they topped off quickly, but only one had been actually loaded for more than a few seconds. One thing that I still have to check is the discharge protection. When depleted, ideally, it should disconnect the internal cell, but short the terminals so the rest of the pack can still deliver power. To test that, I'm putting them in a 3 cell camping lantern that kills alkaline quickly and barely lights with NiMH. I'll report back when finished. Minor details, they fit normally. (I have actually had cells that were too wide to fit the application for which they were purchased) They charged quickly, and the indication is clear and easy to understand. They are substantially more expensive than NiMH, but also perform much better. Especially if the device uses 4 or more. ♫ Note ♫: This is a multiple listing. Some options include cells and charger, some just the cells. Make sure you are ordering the right package, as they are only rated to use the proprietary charger. The 3600mWh rating is for how long they'll last, but the maximum load is only 350mA. (Only? If you need more than 350mA you probably shouldn't be using AA cells.) Think of a car's engine that can only make a certain amount of power, and therefore use a certain amount of gas. You can put in a bigger gas tank and it will run longer, but it won't change the amount of power the engine can make. All tech metaphors must use either food or transportation! I'm as guilty of that as anyone. ... show more
