I'm a Scout leader and I've been on the market for a hard, folding tonneau to replace my vinyl one for a while. My concern had been that most of the reviews I had read on them were that the tops scratched and dented easily. I didn't even know the UnderCover brand existed until I went to my local truck accessory store. While there, I saw the UnderCover Flex cover so I decided to do some research. While researching, I stumbled across the ArmorFlex and fell in love. The top is coated with LINE-X which immediately addressed my scratching concerns. Installation was a breeze. I did have to use a step bit to drill holes in my OEM bed liner to run the drain tubes but that was an easy process. It also took a couple days in the sun for the seals to lay down since the tonneau was folded in shipping. I can't say the tonneau is 100% waterproof, but my 2014 F-150 has the tailgate step. When going through the car wash, I did find some water in the bed, but again, the carwash uses blow dryers at hurricane speed, so I'm not sure any tonneau on my truck would be 100% waterproof. I have not found any water from what I would consider a normal rainstorm. Only time will tell how well the seals hold up but right now, I'm very pleased with this purchase and I would do it again in a heartbeat. ... show more

Great truck bed cover for the F150. Easily installed and works well. Fitted it single handedly, the instructions are misleading, it recommends mounting the side rails 1/8" above the sides of the truck; if you do you won't get a good watertight seal. I mounted them as low as I could and not only does it look more like the photos on the web but it seals it perfectly. I considered the BAKflip G2 but the version for my F150 (6ft bed), had four panels and therefore three folding hinges and as I considered them to be the most likely points of failure, the fewer you have of them the better. ... show more

    • Best bed cover you can buy. Cost most but worth it in my opinion

This is the third and best F150 bed cover. It cost more but in my opinion is the best. It has features other do not come with such as: panel bar support, straps,, rear lid closes over tailgate. It also has better clamps to secure it on the sides. This one is the best money can buy.

I really like the design and quality of this tonneau cover. The box it comes in is larger than the actual contents. The cover comes all assembled in the box with the rails and attachment parts separately in the box. There are plenty of YouTube video on how to install and in theory the installation should be simple. The installation directions are okay but lacking. I ordered the cover specific to my truck so you would think everything would fit correctly. One of the latching points didn't come close to catching and what should have been a 15 minute install took us 2 hours fidgeting with alignment trying to get all latching points to make contact with the rails. We gave up and resorted to calling Undercover the next business day. We learned that you can remove the latching mechanism and reposition then re-drill it into place. Nothing was mentioned in the installation instructions about this at all and it isn't completely obvious how to remove and re-attach the latching mechanism. Since this tonneau cover was specific to my year and model of truck you'd think the latches would have been correctly positioned by the factory. Turns out that they are not necessarily. I don't know if this is a manufacturing error or not. We were sent a video link on how to reposition the latching mechanism and it was pretty simple. It's all installed correctly now and looks great. So far it appears to keep the truck bed dry. Other than the annoyance of poor and incomplete installations instructions resulting in frustration and wasting of time, it appears to be a very nice cover. ... show more

    • It's worth the money.

I love it, it's up there in price, but so much better than the vinyl ones, not only in looks but it looks a lot more secure, I think someone would be a little less likely to try to break it this, compared to soft ones, the low profile look badass, I highly recommend this product.

    • Correct fit for 2013 F150 with 6.5' bed

Even though Amazon's fitment filter said this would not fit my 2013 it was the exact same part number as the one recommended by Undercover, so I took a chance and ordered it through Amazon. It was well packaged, shipped fast, being delivered by truck with tailgate, with no issues. It installed in about 35 minutes and fits correctly. Understanding these tonneau covers are not 100% waterproof I tested it at a local "touch free" high pressure car wash and it stayed surprisingly dry inside. The only water intrusion for me was the drivers rear corner by the top of the tailgate. Not bad, I like the Line-X covering but don't expect it to look like the line-x you have sprayed in the bed. It's glossier and has a slightly different texture and is a thinner coating, probably to keep the weight down. It's lightweight enough to be manageable by one person and does the job as described. ... show more

    • Bad Quality Control

I ordered this product twice. The first time, it took over a week to be delivered on "prime shipping" and once it arrived, I found small metal shavings in the box, as well as, the rails, that the cover lays across, was damaged, and not put together correctly. One rail, the plastic drain end cap was cracked and falling off. Possibly, because the foam protective piece that is stuck all the way down the side of the rail to keep it from scratching your truck was actually sticking out about an inch and a half past the end of the rail where the end cap goes. The other rail looked as if the seal was slightly smashed at one end. Having paid over $1k for this, I had amazon send me a replacement and I would ship the damaged one back. The second one arrived, still took another week to be delivered on prime shipping because they had to wait on the manufacturer. When I went to install the rails, both drainage endcaps on each rail was too small for the actual rail it had been shoved onto, and did not line up with the top of the rail, therefore, the rail would not sit flush on the truck. I still had the old cover I had not sent back yet, and compared one of the drain caps to the caps on the latest rails, and they were not even the same size, hence, why the metal part of the rail stuck up higher than the plastic drain cap. I called the manufacturer to see if they could overnight me two new rails, but they said the rails have to be made first, but they could possibly send new drain caps. However, there is a foam seal that runs the length of the rail and fits in a groove, and ends inside the groove on the end cap. The customer service rep assured me that the foam seal is simply tucked down in the groove and not glued, but you could see that the seal was not coming out of the groove without tearing it all to pieces and then I'd be cleaning foam out of the groove. I needed these cover for a trip, and I have been trying to get this cover on my truck for almost 3 weeks. Horrible quailty control on this product. I really hope its machinery automation doing this, as I'd hate to think someone's work ethics were that sloppy on an $1100 product. I was going to replace a bakflip that failed after 3 years, but looks like I'll be going back to the bakflip. No way am I waiting yet another week, simply to get another damaged product that is obviously being damaged at the manufacturing facility. For those of you who lucked out and got one that was not jacked up, congrats. For me, I don't have the time, nor the patience to keep boxing these things back up in the original flimsy packaging that is almost falling apart when it arrives, by the time UPS is done with it. ... show more
