Received the cover yesterday and got it installed on my truck (2005 Toyota Tundra Double Cab). The quality seems top notch, the installation took me about 30 minutes, this is with being pretty picky about fitment. The cover unrolls and snaps into place snugly and seems very durable. I'm pretty confident that it will keep most of the elements out. The size of the cover is perfect for the bed, with all of the seals lining up where they should and the tailgate opening and closing normally. My truck has the plastic toyota OEM bedliner in it, and the plastic bed caps all around, and I've had no issues installing with those on. I had no issues with the clamps that one of the other reviewers stated. I found that the bolts were long enough and I was able to crank down on the clamps enough to get what feels like a secure fit. ... show more

Update Jan 2022: Over a year later and it is holding up well. With a yard of mulch in the bed, I can still close the cover and avoid the need to use a tarp. Items in the bed stay dry when it rains. ----- I looked at different covers for a very long time and decided on this roll-up versus a tri-fold. I don't know if you get what you pay for, but this one exceeded my expectations. I couldn't justify $500+ for my 2000 Toyota Tundra. It does sit fairly high above the bed rail and therefore it isn't as sleek as some others, but it looks a lot better than the open and faded bed liner. Most of all, it protects the contents from impulse thefts and secures the contents while traveling. It held tight during a recent 4 hour trip at freeway speeds. Time will tell about how well it holds up, but so far I have no regrets. ... show more

Very good quality and well made. Fit was perfect for my 2006 Toyota Tundra double cab. I can’t believe how easy this was to install and I did it on a 32 degree day. Took 20 minutes at most, only a 1/2 in socket is needed. Watch the video before installing. I would highly recommend this product.

    • Good overall but clamps could be improved upon

Overall, it is a nice cover and good quality. Unlike reviews for similar models, I did not install it in 20 minutes. It took me about an hour. This is partially because I am simply not that fast and partially because of some minor difficulty I had with the clamps. I am assuming this model of clamp is used on many different models of truck. The problem was partially with where the bottom side of the clamp presses against the truck bed. I did not attempt to look up in there but it feels like a curved surface so the clamp is prone to move. Next, the bolts were too short. I could barely get the first couple threads to catch. As a result, it was very easy to cross thread the clamps. I cross threaded two out of six clamps. One, I caught early so I was able to correct the threads, the other I caught too late so it remains cross threaded. For these two clamps, I looked in my shop and found two replacement bolts that were the same diameter but about 1/4" longer. That was all I needed to get a good start. I wish the manufacturer provided bolts had been a bit longer. That would have made installation quicker and I would have avoided the cross threading. That problem aside, the balance of the installation went well and it looks good on my Tundra. ... show more

Perfect! Even though Amazon gives me the (un)helpful warning that this Truxedo “doesn’t fit” my 2006 Toyota Tundra, it indeed fits perfectly. It’s awesome. Brilliant design. Took me about 30 minutes to install because I’m a perfectionist.

Seen a bunch of them up close and this one seems like a good durable quality like the others. Installation was a cinch, just make sure the release lever's are centered before you secure it to the truck otherwise the lever will rub and scratch the rail sides.     • Not a good fit for gen1 Tundras

This was listed as a perfect match for a gen 1 Toyota Tundra Access Cab. It is not. It is at least 1-2” short in length. In order to get close enough to the tailgate to make a seal, you’re barely on the bulkhead. So it doesn’t create a very weathertight seal. I can see daylight in multiple spots. I did need use the provided bulkhead foam even though I have a factory bed liner. The clamps are natural aluminum and not anodized black to match the rest of the black track. The bolts are barely long enough to get them started once you have them in place. They can be easily cross threaded if you don’t have them perfectly aligned which is difficult with only two hands because you’re trying to hold the clamps in place while using your other hand to try to get the bolt started. I was hoping the cover would be wide enough to cover the bed rails but it leaves over an inch exposed. I would’ve preferred the entire cover was wider so you wouldn’t see any of the exiting bed rail covers. As far as I can tell, you can not close the top without having the tailgate down. I haven’t had a chance to revisit and see if there is a trick to getting it to latch with the tailgate up but if thats the case, that’s kind of annoying. It does the job but kind of disappointed overall. I’ll keep it because it’s the cheapest option with the most positive reviews I could find and the amount of time it took to get it all aligned as best as it could be. I’m hoping I can better seal it somehow with either more weather seal or caulk which means spending more time on it to be what it advertised to do out of the box. ... show more

This is a great bed cover. It is raised above the bed a bit more than more expensive covers, but if that doesn’t bother you, buy it. Works great. Would recommend.
