My 3rd Retrax cover. I think these covers are great. Since I'd installed two (both on F-150's), I thought I knew how to do it. Well not so much. It pays to read the instructions. The bed rails on the Ridgeline are different so installation requires installing a secondary rail first to provide a clamping surface for the cover. I zoomed right past that step initially thinking I knew what I was doing. Once I slowed down & started reading the instructions I found the necessary information. The instructions could be a little clearer & more detailed, but the basic info is in there. FYI, the top four tie down brackets are removed to provide a space to secure the additional rails, so you lose those four tie downs. The cover I received fit perfect. It took less than 2 hours to install. Only basic hand tools required, except a T50 Torx driver is needed to remove and then replace the tie down bolts. The cover is expensive but I think it's well worth the investment. My last cover was on my truck for seven years and I never had a single issue. It kept stuff in the bed dry (damp was the worse anything suffered) and secure. The Ridgeline was a recent purchase and I'd read so much negative remarks concerning the Retrax and the Ridgeline I wanted to share my experience. The RetraxPRO MX cover for the Honda Ridgeline fits very well and for the most part is easy to install. The instructions leave a little to be desired, but overall provide enough details to get the unit installed. The cover slides nicely and locks anywhere along the track. It is all aluminum so someone cannot cut through it with a knife, etc. like a cheaper cover. Overall I am very satisfied with this product and believe it is priced very well. As always, coming from Amazon it shipped quickly and for free with Prime. ... show more

I installed the cover according to the instructions and it went well until the very end. When I was checking out the lock I found that the locking arm that flips back and forth was touching the bed of the truck. Retrax suggested an adjustment that worked. A few weeks later the bed cover had settled and the arm was touching the bed again and I adjusted it again. Seems to be OK now. I ran the truck through a car wash and a little water leaked into the bed at the front corners. Could be the car wash squirted high pressure water at places rain wouldn't normally go. Overall I'm very happy with it. It looks great and the cover slides and locks easily. Installation is easy if you're handy. ... show more

This is my second Retrax Pro cover, I had one on my 2014 for 8 years and I loved it. Never had one problem with it in all of that time. Unfortunately over the years the attention to details has in my view deteriorated. Pros: The product was super well packaged and was promptly delivered. No hardware was missing. Cons: Overpriced. Instructions hard to follow. Had to search for the extra package of instructions that said they were for a 2017 Ridgeline but would work for the 2022 Ridgeline. Not true the bed design has changed on the 2022. Upon opening the package I found I needed a T50 Torx Driver and I had to drop everything and run to the hardware store to buy one. Not everyone will have that size Torx driver in there toolbox. You'd think for the amount of money this cover costs they could have included the driver along with the allen wrenches they sent. Locking arm would not fold down anywhere along the rail once I had the cover mounted. I had to crawl underneath and found the strikers were not aligned properly on both levers. (Luckily they were fairly easy to adjust.) Locking arm would not clear the right, rear bedliner. ( See picture ) Retrax's suggestion was to loosen the cover rail and the railing under that and raise it up until the lever would clear the bedliner. This worked but left the right side of cover sticking up higher than the left side. Other reviewers have had the same problem and were satisfied with this solution and others sanded off some of the bedliner. I opted with holding down the cover handle until it was almost closed and the lever would clear the bedliner just as I reached that point when closing the cover. Not the greatest fix and not one that my wife can manage if she needs to use my truck but it's one I will just have to live with. You would think that Retrax designers could have come up with a better fix than the one they did but it's just another sign that the company does not feel it is worth the extra time and money to make this right for the Honda Ridgeline 2022. I would not buy this cover again . ... show more
