Easy installation, ~ 1 hour. Fit, function, and looks are excellent. Only downside are the rubber bumpers for window protection. Thye are attached with adhesive tape...not very good in the Arizona heat. Didn't even stay attached for a week before falling off.

Fits perfectly and easy to install. It’s priced a little high for most of the truck owners which pushes them to go to a “Not As Hard” hard cover or a soft cover. If Bak-Flip would look at that I guarantee their sales would increase by 50% at least. It is my 3rd bed cover but definitely not my last.

Really enjoying my x4s I installed on my 2015 GMC Sierra w/ 6.5' bed. High-quality engineered tonneau. Solid structure, easy-install (only took me about 45 minutes). It's also easy to roll/unroll with one-hand operation. Overall definitely a premium rollup tonneau cover that I'm glad I purchased. My only hold-back is how far the slam latches protrude horizontally into the path of the bed. They are slightly (and I stress, slightly) adjustable but it wasn't enough. I have an AMP Research HD Max bed extender which I had already installed on my truck years prior. I ended up having to get spacers from amp to install and slightly shorten the extenders width so it clears the slam latches. AMP spacers part no. 74609-01A should have 8 spacer plates included. So, starting with the instructions, they were easy to understand and they made installation a breeze. Illustrations were clear and there was no question what you were looking at. Actual Installation took about a half hour and I did not have to do any trimming to work with my GMC branded drop in bed liner. Functionally, the BAKFlip cover is amazing. When opened all the way you have access to the entire truck bed. And it looks great on the truck. It is also much more secure than cheaper soft top tri-folds. The only thing I would take away a half a star is in the lack of a piece of weather stripping between the back of the cover and the tailgate. It has rubber weather stripping on it which would be perfect if the back of the cover rested on top of the tailgate, but the design is such that the back cover comes right up to the end of the rails which must end before the gate so the gate can close. A piece of weather stripping adhered to the gate will probably fix this relatively easily. ... show more

I bought this bed cover because I live in the city with many people walking by my truck daily. I also like to keep a lot of "stuff" in the bed of my truck so I knew I needed something secure. This truck cover accomplishes all of my goals. -quality material that seems like it will hold up well in the elements and from use and abuse -sturdy design -seems like it would be very difficult to 'break in'. Can't cut anything open with a knife or anything -lays flat so doesn't protrude over the rails or aynthing. -Aesthetically pleasing -folds up easy - functionality is good -doesn't "get in the way" - I've hauled several loads with the cover fully opened with no issue -good customer service. I did break one of the clips when installing it. BAK sent me a replacement immediately, no questions asked (they just sent the clip - easy to swap out) ... show more

First, the bad - When I received this cover, the vendor of it was selling it as new. When it arrived, it was obvious that the part had been opened by a customer, returned, and then shipped to me. The nuts and bolts were in zip-loc baggies, and other parts were randomly strewn about the box. So, i took a careful inventory of the parts i had, and started assembling the cover. The parts were all there, but, one of the rails had a small tab that was broken, which made the cover pretty much unusable. I was a pretty sad camper that evening! So, I sent an email to BAK about it. Keep in mind this was a Friday evening, and I figured that at BEST I'd maybe hear from them sometime the next week. I kid you not - Within an hour i had a response, and was assured that the replacement parts were on their way! A few days later for fedex to ship the new parts to my door, and i was a happy clam with a newly installed cover. I've never seen service so quick. As for the installed cover It's about what I had expected. The aluminum cover flexes just a little bit with a little load on - A bag of groceries, case of beer, etc, will flex the part a little if you put it in the middle of the cover. Still, the ability of it to stand up to snow better, and the added security of the aluminum slats make the part well worth it over a soft cover in my opinion. Bottom line - The cover, especially the rails seem susceptible to shipping damage. BAK however, is very good about getting replacement parts if needed. Otherwise, the part is about what you'd expect - a stiffer, more secure, rolling tonneau cover. Lastly, a suggestion for BAK - In the future, you may want to put the spring return tabs and springs into a separate place than on the rail assemblies - Even in the replacement parts, I had one the tabs slightly bent. Considering that on the first pair, one was broken entirely, this seems to be a regular problem. I'd recommend that you put them in a separate bag instead of on the rail itself. Using a screwdriver to attach the tabs at home rather than have them bent in shipping would have saved people a lot of headache in my case. (And possibly the guy before me that had the cover too!) ... show more
