It took me about an hour to install. It installed easy and is by far the best most secure and the most likely to be waterproof yet. Not to mention it looks great. I have a 2023 Ram with ram boxes. To seal the short gap that’s at each side between the tailgate and ram boxes I found a part that’s made specifically for that. ... show more

I’ve had 3 previous versions of this Bakflip all installed but this time I tried it for lunch self. Very easy to install about an hour and a beer latter all done. But use spray silicone to help slid the rails on. I had to drill one of the slots for the end of bed bolt as the slot and hole would not line up (not a big deal). Reasonably water tight just leaks a small amount at the sides so not a big deal. Interestingly no leaks after going through a car wash. Not too happy with the Mx4 as the new rails measure under 4ft side to side so not good for sheet goods. But this only applies if you have Ram boxes. So to sum up I would recommend this hard cover but knocked it a star for width and having to drill the slot. ... show more

    • A good cover with drawbacks

It’s not bad but there are a couple shortcomings. 1) anyone could easily open it with a coat hanger if they knew where the latch cords are. This cover isn’t very secure. 2) I have ramboxes and this cover does nothing to keep TONS OF WATER from leaking in along the back top sides while you’re driving down the road. If you’re trying to put luggage (or anything that needs to stay dry) in your bed for a trip, this cover will not make that happen. Water will POUR IN. Bakflip says that’s not their problem and I should blame Ram. 3) if your truck is not sitting damn close to level when it’s raining, the drainage system doesn’t work and water will spill in from various places. 4) water always easily seeps in all along the sides of the cover. For $1000 I expected much much more. I would not buy this brand again, especially for the way I was spoken to when I called them. They basically said that all of these problems with water leaking are not theirs. Bakflip- YOU designed and sell this cover and didn’t add the proper seals to make the bed remotely watertight. You could have done better. I was able to make it leak less with $35 in parts and weatherstripping but I shouldn’t have had to do that. PS- your install instructions for ram box trucks suck too. ... show more

I own 2020 RAM 1500 Limited with Rambox and multifunction tailgate (I have the silver cargo rails in truck bed). The Cover was easy to install. And it looks great! Also I noticed slight improvement in MPG.

Make sure you have the Original cargo rails. System will not install with the rails that comes supplied with tunnel cover that comes with truck. Just had to spend an additional 500 dollars to replace cargo rails to make this cover work. System will not install with certain cargo rails that don’t come supplied. BE CAREFUL ... show more

Super easy to install, but know that it’s not 100% guaranteed to be leak proof. I used the left over foam to attempt to fill the gaps by the tailgate but not what I would expect for 1k bedcover.
