We wanted a fireplace to go into our family room and hoped to find one with flames that looked real. This is it--or as close to real flames as you can get. The feel and atmosphere of the room is completely changed by this addition. It's big and it's made of solid wood. It arrived in 3 boxes which were well packed. The instructions were easy to follow and assembly took two of us not quite 2.5 hours, including unpacking. The flames are gorgeous, and you can choose from 7 color settings. It heats the room in no time. The only thing missing is the crackling of the wood as it burns. So we use our white noise machine on the "campfire" setting. This was a major investment. It’s rare that I’d buy something that I can’t touch or feel before making such a large purchase (over $1k). I did my homework and read all of the reviews here (and elsewhere online). I was cautiously optimistic, but we couldn’t be more happy with it. I’ll share my entire experience…. After purchasing it, we expected three (3) total boxes to arrive as depicted in the advertisement information. Only one (1) box initially arrived. The provided shipment information only listed a singular tracking number which, when queried, indicated delivered. After few days later the last two (2) boxes arrived with no updated tracking numbers- so I imagine FedEx missed or didn’t realize the first delivered box was part of a three (3) box set. Nonetheless, we felt like all 3 boxes were packaged with the pieces encased very well as you could tell one of the boxes had been bounced around a little. The assembly was fairly straightforward and didn’t require any technical experience to piece it together. That said, it is important to heed the warning to not tightly fasten the pieces together initially so that you can assure proper alignment. Some of the reviews I had read noted issues or frustration with alignment or fitment. I saw how the issue could arise if pieces were tightened before full assembly. Word to the wise is for you to piece it together with the screws, but wait and resist the temptation to tighten it all up until it’s fully assembled. The instructions and assembly design were thought out and well arranged. The only outlier was that - at the end when the fireplace itself is placed into the opening, the maker opted to not provide pilot or pre-drilled holes for the small retention brackets. It seemed an odd choice given the thoroughness of the rest of the assembly pilot holes and instructions. The only other issue was a quality control issue in which one side of the fireplace was bent (see photos). I inspected the box and styrofoam and nothing appeared to be impacted in the least. I really think this came from the production floor like this. While slightly frustrating that the brand new fireplace was bent, It was fine and not concerning since the bent metal edge is behind the wood housing and cannot be seen and did not affect fitment. All in all, this is a very well-crafted, solid elegant piece of furniture. Once we activated the fireplace, we were extremely pleased with the appearance and and available modifications to the fire. It also puts out immediate strong heat which is a bonus. It doesn't emit any burning fire sounds , which we knew, but we found that playing a white noise fireplace sound via Bluetooth really works well and elevates the experience even further. We love the piece and have even discussed purchasing another for our master bedroom down the road. ... show more

It’s beautiful. As for heating up 1000 square feet, that’s debatable. However, she’s aesthetically pleasing, and we love the quality of the fire. It’s heavy, it makes a statement. It creates a warm and cozy atmosphere, which is exactly what we needed.

I really like this. It very well made. Heavy. Solid wood. Heats my living room nicely. Magnificent! Get it. Make take some skill assembling. A few pieces of wood will require some sanding because of the paint causing fitment issues. We did recieve with a few wood pieces damaged. The company was easy to contact and shipped replacement pieces quickly. Glad we spent good money on a well made heater with large mantel. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Great fireplace that makes the room very comfortable without becoming stifling hot. There is no artificial crackle which would improve the overall aspect, but the flames can be adjusted to your liking and are very nice. That said, the logs do have a more "plastic" look in my opinion and that could be improved as well. Overall it is a nice fireplace and has added what we needed to a colder room in the basement. ... show more
